ITS NOT AS BAD AS PEOPLE SAY, JUST DONT TRY TO MOVE YOUR HEAD IN THE RESTRAINTS. I LIKE THE KAMI-KASE CURVE BY THE SPACE SHIP BUT HATE THE CORKSCREWS JUST TRY TO GET TO THIS RIDE B4 THE "RUSH" BECAUSE THE WAIT WILL BE VERY, VERY LONG. OR PAY $20.00 4 A Q-BOT AND U WONT HAVE 2 WAIT AT ALL

I read all these reveiws before i went on the Scream Machine and i was scared of the pain that was supposedly inflicted. And in some cases those people were correct. This is a SLIGHTLY unpleasent ride. But it is not as bad as many people say. You do get a little head banged on the double loop and the first double corkscrew. But thats it. I did get a minor headache. But other wise this is a pretty nice ride. The first loop is great and so is the second corkscrew. The drop wasnt bad either. There was a pretty short line when i went so that was a plus. Two tips for riding thise: try to keep you head back and stay stiff (in other words, dont be loose and trying to look around after the first drop, you will get hurt), bring some alieve or advil just in case you do get hurt, it helps alot.

The curving first drop of this monster is incredible. Up and out into a huge vertical loop before a turn and another two. All of these are itnense and disorienting, with little to no headbanging. However, this all ends when you reach the transition into the midcourse - its horrible! Luckily, its the only part with major headbanging and wont leave you with a headache. The train comes to an almost complete stop before heading into the final four inversion - a kamikaze curve, and two inversions. Both these offer great hang-time. The small hill offers a tad bit of airtime before entering the brakes. An underrated and thrilling ride, apart from the one transition.

This is an _EXTREMELY_ unpleasent ride. From the start it looks like a nice ride and unlike other looping coasters its actually appealing to look at. Unfortunatly its coolness ends there as riding it is like ... well lets just say: "Nobody expects the Spanish Inquisition!!!" Well I certainly didnt expect that, but thats what I got! Massive amounts of pain delivered to both sides of my head. Is this an "amusement ride"? No, it cant be, because I was not amused. I didnt find it amusing at all. So thanks to the Great American Pain Machine I had a throbbing migrane headache for the whole rest of the day at this park, and no. I did not enjoy the rest of my day there. Im giving the ride a "2" instead of the "1" it deserves because its nice to look at. Still if Six Flags wants to make room for something else they have my full permission to get rid of this machine of pain. Why they got rid of the beautiful and painless Evolution instead of this thing is beyond me.

Considering its age, I dont mind it being rough. It provides a great ride in the front few rows. The inversions are non stop. The only problem I have with this ride is the restraints. How big do those handle bars have to be?

Its unfortunate that people like to trash this ride in their reviews. It really is a good ride and not as rough as people claim it to be. It is a very fast ride with 3 huge loops, 1 batwing type inversion and 2 corkscrews. It definitely packs in a lot of elements and there is almost never a line for it. The horsecollar restraints are not the most comfortable. However, the only real headbanging that I noticed was through the 2 corkscrews at the end. The train goes fairly straight for the first half of the ride. If you keep your head back, you eliminate most of the headbanging. Id definitely recommend hitting this one. Just remember to keep your head back.

I really like this ride, it was my second looping coaster ever (my first was Rockin Roller Coaster in Disney World). I never really realized the speed of this coaster until i sat in the front row with my friend. The view from the top of the drop is really cool, especially at dusk when the sun is setting and the lights are on in the boardwalk (in fact, my friend and Is first words at the very beginning of the drop were "WOW". Overall, Its still a classic, I never get banged around on this ride at all.
