Review of Great American Scream Machine @ Six Flags Great Adventure

This is an _EXTREMELY_ unpleasent ride. From the start it looks like a nice ride and unlike other looping coasters its actually appealing to look at. Unfortunatly its coolness ends there as riding it is like ... well lets just say: "Nobody expects the Spanish Inquisition!!!" Well I certainly didnt expect that, but thats what I got! Massive amounts of pain delivered to both sides of my head. Is this an "amusement ride"? No, it cant be, because I was not amused. I didnt find it amusing at all. So thanks to the Great American Pain Machine I had a throbbing migrane headache for the whole rest of the day at this park, and no. I did not enjoy the rest of my day there. Im giving the ride a "2" instead of the "1" it deserves because its nice to look at. Still if Six Flags wants to make room for something else they have my full permission to get rid of this machine of pain. Why they got rid of the beautiful and painless Evolution instead of this thing is beyond me.

If your hold on to the upper part of the harness you can reduce headbanging alot. Now if you want headbanging, go on Viper! That kicks your @$$ so bad!

They tell you to keep your head back for a reason.

Stick your head out of the restraint. If you keep it in, its going to bang.

Ive riddin this rides clone, the Shockwave, at SF Great America. At least you guys still got this kick ass ride, Shockwave got torn down last summer. And yes, holding my head back definately does help. And even if you do get a headache, pop an advil, and its all good. Thats part of what riding coasters is all about anyway!
