This ride had great animatronics and theming, but the boat never did anything except a small drop. A walkthrough may have been better, but thats my opinion and its probably wrong.

Disney opted away from walk through. the reason was peaple were tolikly to stop and watch or slow dowm. a ride could keep the pase.

yeah, and its kinda fun having the cannon balls splash all around you

This ride is soooo cool. I love the themeing and its just plain fun. LLLOOONNNNGGGG lines though.

are you sure???? i have never had to wait more than 10 minutes to get on this ride.....perhaps i wasnt there at a peak time.....

I have had waits but I hav ealso wolked on a few times. Who really cares if ther is a waite their is plenty to look at on your way in.

i havent had to wait very long but i think a walkthrough wouldnt be as much fun..too much exercise. i already walked the entire. park. as for the drop, the ride wasnt built for thrills so it shouldnt have a big drop.

very true, the ride was built to tell a story, not get you wet. i think its a great ride, and the fire effects are pretty cool

Teh hole reason fo rthe drop is to get you low enuf to have the big sets and not have a big building that could be sean.

yeah, they have some very intricate sets on that ride, and they are very life-like.

its true disney themeing which is that no matter how many times u go on u always miss something. disneys great cuz they go into everylast detail and thats how this ride is. the town is great. and i agree demon that the fire effects are cool. the only fire effects ive seen on a ride that tops that is the use of real fire

this is one of my favorite rides. no matter how many times i go on it, it never gets boring. i actually never minded waiting in line for this one even if i did wait 45 minutes. i guess its because of the way every aspect of disney is themed.

my favorite scene is where the skeleton is steering the busted up ship in the storm......its freaking awesome

The destruction of Rome in Spacship has a great fire effect they also have the smoke sent.

come on RAM, first you cant see ghosts, and now you dont remember the fire and smoke effects.......theres definitely something wrong with you......lol

lo9l...thanks Demon, all of EPCOT is kinda a blur to me which is why i only posted like one or two reviews of it. all i remember of SSE is an egyptian part and when i think ur at the top of the sphere and above u is all stars and i think theyre talkin about either technology or communication

Comunication is what they are talking about. the Egyptian part is at the begining. its the fourth sean I beleave. the ride is one of the best Disney has come out with. replacing it would be the rap of epcot. move the Living to animal Kingdom and make it biger and more interesting. that will give them plenty of room fo ra new thrill ride.

i agree, get rid of living but instead, move it to the dump. its a bunch of plants. u cant make that interesting. trash it. Animal Kingdom is gettin better, dont put a piece of crap ride in there. yes there would be lots of room, make some other cool attraction withthe land. the soarin ride. maybe somethin thats a ride that takes u through earthcs different biomes. ellens energy adventure need to be trashed as well.

sorry I should have been clearer the Living Seas not the land. I know you dont like it but keep in mind theri usign the PLants for food in the parks. if their goin to grow their own food they may as well show you how they are doing it and have an extra ride. they can fit the sorign ride without removign it. the livign seas would be verry apropriate for AK.

o ok. yea living seas could go in AK but i think they need to do some upgrading and a new preshow. if it did stay in epcot and they change the name to Discoveryland, id like to see it be themed toward 20,000 leagues under the sea. as for LWTL, its wasting space. they can grow their own food but i dont care. if they did make a ride at least make it interesting. i think they should make some type of indoor suspened ride (like ET) that takes you throught the different biomes. through the jungles and into the arctic. its relate to the land and be more interesting.

it has more to do withhow to use the land. have you ever noticed the extra efects they have. it i one of the most complicated attraction they have. they is sent and smell combined with what you are seeing. and the land is one of the smallist povilions. it is very compact. the show is prity good and its a great place to grab snack. they have plenty of space to add atractions. and the Discovery land thing is stuped. nobody looks at The front of EPCOT as Futur world.

i agree but it looks like its on its way to be discovery land. i still dont like LWTL but hey, what can i do, not enough money to buy Disney, yet lol.

its just plain boring. if u need a ride themed to the land they can do a lot better than that.

and disney wonder why EPCOT doesnt have good attendance. between that and SSE and ellens and TLS, its a wonder theyre still around. thank god for world showcase.

For starters the Gemini project is planign to shut down the life pavilion not the land. they plan to add the soring ride to it. the thing is you seem to say its boring but it always has a line so its not like peaple dont njoy it. last tume I was their thepeaple in front of us were talking about it so they had riden it before. they do get repeat ridership. I beleave it was Ram that mentioned addign a rainforest area to it. besides taking it out which isnt haponing. what do you think they could do to make it better.

lol i agree demon. to make it better, change the concept. its about agriculture which is boring. i think they should theme it more toward the land as in the biomes of earth. maybe make and ET like ride that takes you through the rainforests, then through the arctic. they can have animatronic animals. i have this picture in my head of it but its hard to explain. ditch the agriculture part. if they still want to talk about how they grow their own stuff they can make a little walkthrough about it. agriculture isnt interesting. was there once a land in DCA themed to farming and they trashe dthat idewa cuz it was boring and themed it to a bugs life?

They had a moke up farm but they said from the begining it wasnt permanint. the land is one of the few rides in EPOCOT that hasnt gon completly corperate. what I mean by that is it teachis you somthing. if they make a EPCOT version of Jungle cruse peaple are going to look at the animals and not bother with the subject at hand. addign a Rainforist area would be good an dit wouldnt be hard because their are a few areas that repeat itself a bit. they can use those seans to set up a reain forest. the land is already a more technology advanced ride then most of what is in EPCOT. and liek I said before. they get great ridership. so the Circle of life theater is more likly to go before the LWTL.

honestly, i know very little about LWTL, dont know why, but i dont recall ever going in it, or ever seeing it. ive just read a little about it. exactly what is it? sounds like a greenhouse or biosphere where people are growing their own food.

Thats only one part of the ride. their is an animal hatchery in the ride as well. Fish and Aligaters. betwen the green house stuf their have seans like in Horivans that show what kinds of land you can find in the world. the Desert with its hot climate, they heat the room and its very dry, they talk about how rain afects the land. they have a fantastic rain effect that fally n top of you, your covered dont worry, and it smells like rain. they are a few more seans liek that. so its alot more then a green house and sombody talking. they also talk about technology their greenhouse is acually a Hydroponics bay.

its not very interesting tho. id like to see a rainforest and maybe some other lands of earth. just to make it a little more interesting.

okay, now i got a better idea of what it is. where is it located in the park, ive never seen it before.

its in betwen the Sea and Imagination pavilions. it you remember RAM that Gemini project caled for a rainforest coaster. and the land is talking about how to use the land and ways we can grow food and types of land. a rainforest area is sort of rediculase because we realy cant use it. it needs to be preserved the way it is.

yea i already stated if i had to change it id change the theme and then add a rainforest thing. it doesnt tie in w/ agriculture but agriculture is boring. id focus more on the wild land thats not cut down. i like the idea of the coaster if the pull it off. like u said befor eitll prob be like pteradon flyers but if it take you through an elaborate rainforest it could be really good. especially if they add a fog and even if u went through a rainstorm. put in some animals but not to much so the attention doesnt focuz away from the land.

The thing is that idea focase is more AK not EPCOT. EPCOT is technology. the ride is half ways to use ans techology used. expamly Hydroponics. acually 60% of th epavilion is food restorants. its the best place to eat out side the world showcase, the only main place. there is another 5% used for the Circle of life Theater. not much of the paviliun is the ride.

yea see i always saw future world as more of a learning of nature type thing. DNA in Ellens, the Seas in TLS, the land in LWTL, and space now in MS. but yes i guess it is more about technology than nature. tho then the living seas doesnt make sense. id like to see it moved to AK but theyd need to add to it. as for LWTL, i just dont like it, w/e it just me i guess. another ride i just wont do. im sorry but agriculture is not fun.

do any of you know what the name of the video game is? first you stand in a booth and it takes you picture. then it spits out a little card with a bar code on it. you go to a round table and insert your card into a little slot. you then grab a joystick, and race like 10 other people in some holographic 3D game. at the end a big screen displays the finishing order with the persons name and picture next to it. it was one of the coolest things i have ever done at EPCOT.

it was in EPCOT in one of their technology buildings. it was the one with the talking little robot guy in the entrance.

Tom Marrow 2.0 the litle robot guy. it was in inivastions.

tom morrow lol he was on a disney channel short show called imagineer that. i loved that show. its not on anymore. it went behind the scenes of how they make disney rides. i never new he was real tho, like you could see him outside disney channel.

innoventions. on the back of my MK park guide it tells whats at the otha parks and for EPCOT it says innoventions. it gives a cool lookin piuck to but i dunno if its a game or an exhibit or what.

could you maybe describe what it looks like? does it have a picture of tom morrow on it?

no. it is a pic of a boy with like virtual reality goggles on and his arm is outstretched. u cant see his hand because it is covered by what looks like a large glowing crystal. in the background you see a little kid staring at what looks to be a latrge globe, a wall of TVs and what looks like a person playing a guitar.

uhhhhh, maybe thats a different building. i wish i could remember more about it, all i know is that it had the video game. and the tom morrow guy.

well is innoventions just one building?

innovations is 2 buildign on either side on the center of Future world. the one to the left the west povilion. contains the small game area which is what your talking aobut adn a number of RV attraction you could waite for. it also contained the house of the Future and the Future of Home theatres. the other side is where you find at the time you Ram and I went is was Tom Morrow a full sive robot that did an interactive show. that was the absolute best animatronic I have seen. they also have a number of computer and technology sections. a Blue screen exibet where you got t obe on the tonight show. they also have a show with Bill Nie. basicly its a place to show off new technology. they just bought a number os Segway skooters.

thats cool. yeah, i didnt spend too much time looking around the buildings, i was just playing the game. didnt even know there were two povilions......

Their prity good but it takes some time to get through it. pluse alot of sectins ae just showcasing their high end products of the person that bought the display. its fun to look at but in other ways a wast of space.

Smple stuf alot of it. i have better FM family radios then they are showing of their. THe travel chanel at 1am is replaying the WDW behind the seans. they show off inovations. so you might want to check it out.

i gotta do that, maybe ill get an idea for what that video game is called!

This is to the unificial EPCOT guid. it mentions a SEGA game exibute but its removed. also their is a behind the seans of Hershy town on at 10:00

it wasnt on that site. no it wasnt sega, it was a 3D racing game. very cool. i dont know if it was maybe experimental and was removed or something. but i seem to be the only one who ever played it or saw it.

yea i saw that hershey town thing. Great Bear looks great and so does lightening racers (i havent ridden great bear, roller soaker or lightening racers). roller soaker looks like "fun" but i wouldnt call it at all a coaster. i was upset that they didnt ride Comet (that family) comet is a great ride. they also didnt ride sidewinder which is just a boomerang or sooperdooperlooper. i wnat to get back and ride great bear tho,. thatd be stop #1. thats weird tho gettin a chocolate massage lol.

I wouldnt mind it. its the only way I can majerly indolge in choclet with out feeling sick. the park dos look great. i was Dolly wod yeaster day and that park looks great. more shows on tomarow.

yea im excited. i watched dollywood. ok i shouldnt say this but she has the biggest.... as for the park, i think that the daredevil falls looks like the best lookin ride and that that slide looks awesome. the coaster looks good but pales in comparison to most coasters. still tho its a small park so its good. i want to go there. and hershey. hershey more. great bear looks great.

it was definitely at EPCOT, cause my school went there last september, and me and all my friends played it like all day.

thats one hell of a field trip

yeah, i go to a private school, with only like 50 kids at the time of the trip, and disney holds something called night of joy in which they have christian concerts all around the park. so about 40 kids from the school along with the faculty all went to disney. it was the most fun ive ever had. we went to all 3 parks too, for 4 days.

i wish we had trips like that. the furthest our field trips go is like NH. actually next year ill be goin to gettysburg but thats boring. id love to do disney.

RAm I agree, thow keep in mnd that coaster is varry long at nearry 3,000 ft. it also has a first of its cind. Buterfly element 2 inversions. it was built in 99. the rest of the park looks great. Demon its got to be an extentin of the VR area. were you have the hoky shooter and the pool.

the park has that nice small park feel. i love the look of daredevil falls. itd be worth a visit. even if im not a fan of dolly

Best thing about Dardevin fally is its aHopkins Waer ride. the absolute best. I also like the fact htey have lots of foutains.

i just think the falls look awesome.

yeah, my school is pretty cool. and for our 8th grade trip, we went to washington D.C. for a week.

yea actually we went to DC too but it was just for 3 days 2 nights. it was by far the best school trip. i love goin on vacas with my friends. the only thing is we went in may and it was HOT

same hear My 8th grade trip was to DC. i pocketed most of my food money and spent it on Suviners.

i dont think i bought one suovenier. i spent my food money on food. we ate at some place that was once a train station and might still be and it was pretty good.

yeah, definitely, trips with friends are always the best.

the ppl at the supreme court hated us though. i hate them back. it was like the first trip that was pretty much unsupervised with my friends so it was awesome. even tho every mornin we had to wake up at 6 and we usually didnt go to bed til 3

Its still a train station. I know what your taking about. see they only gave us money for lunce. planed breckfast and dinnes. so you could eat alot at breckfast, keep you lunch money, and make up for it at dinner. best thin on our trip was taign the peaple mover systum from the Seneters offic building into the capital building. bonus of buing militers kids.

yeah, we had to get up at 6, and didnt get to bed until like 2. it was supervised, but still a great trip.

my supervisers left me and my freins alone. we went the trouble sum ones so to speek. so we had free range. yet they were alot worse on my High school trip to NY city. I still walked 3 blockes away from the group to buy more film.

yeah, we had a chaperone and tour guides. one of the chaperones was a dad of one of my friends, and he used to work in D.C., so he would lead us off the tour plenty of times to go and see the city.

Back to Pirates thou. the ride is still great even after all this years. a few upgrades would be nice but other then that its perfact.

yeah, jsut upgrade the gun sounds. a "pssshhh" sound is quite cheesy

it dosny mack any sence. they should get a smoke pufer. so it blasts the smoke out beter. they add the sounds. that should make it much better.

yup, i agree totally. and they could upgrade the animatronics a little. some are getting a little jerky.

Ya I noticed that. not to many of them. the Pirate capton they should replace aver one of hi, his the oen that moves the most. the est are slight movements so its not too necisary.

Teh pirate captins basicly the only one with majer movment. verry few other character move alot. a few on then do just what they neeed to.

the guy with the foot hanging over the bridge....i swear they put mud on his foot before they open each day.

They probubly do. well acualy its likly Sment with dirt and brown/blue deye.

well, whatever it is, i noticed it was thick on the foot in the morning, and by evening, it had almost all dripped off.

make up liek a woman woudl ware. the stuff holds great to the silicon plasity skins used on the animatronics.

no, i really dont think that it was mascara, i think it was just mud, it was brown and clumpy. it had volume, it wasnt just painted on.

posubly puty. mud wouldnt stick at all. it wouldnt stick at all it would dry in a few minutes and fall off. pudy could be mixed with clues and would stay te day if not longer.

yeah, that makes more sense. it was something like putty, or maybe clay. whatever it was, it would drip off as you would go under the bridge

I never really noticed it. I was to buisy annoying the people in back of my by singign the song. I got off last time and the lady grabed my arm and said "thankyou for ruining the ride for my son and I" I said"you welcom theirs no line go again.

lol, thats great. we once had someone on tower of terror get mad at us because we quoted the movie word for word. he said that if anyone else in the room wanted to see the movie again, they could..........nobody did.

All I did is sing the song. and I have been in chorus since 2nd grade. pluse I was in a solect choir and Mens Choir. so I can sing to the point you rally cant notice. i think what pissed her off whas when I pointed out to my mother two things. first was that the old women in the square looked more like a old man in drag. second was they the thre impresand men at the end were modled after janeters that work for the Disney company. she was just a B1tch

i can understand that. yeah, some people just dont like having fun on rides.....it makes no sense.

I do that some times. but if someoen else if is doing it and singign the song of talkign about the ride. I dont mind. now iy they were just screwign around and not doign anythign withthe story and distracting peaple that I coudl see as a problem. I mean when I went on CoP almost everyone was singign the song.

Imean I try to be consederat of others. I mean if I go to SFOG Im not goign to sing the monster mansian song. but its disney you supost to have fun.

Exactly anywere in disney. people probubly thought we were nut but soem peaple joyned in. when we were at MGM it raind so we were walkign to the next attraction and started singign, exactly Singign in the rain. a few people even joined in.

At Santas Village in December we saing Chistmass songs in line.

yeah, see, now that is what im talking about. just going out and having a good time no matter what anyone else thinks. and it sounds like you had a better experience because of it.

i loved. it. but the I sing that when it rains at canobie as well. bu thten everybody but the Managers ad the emplayees look at us funny.

yeah, people who dont want to have fun at a theme park are going for the wrong reasons

but then their are the anoyign ones. I went on ToT. me, my father, and my 2 brothers. the rst of the car was filed up with a bunch of brizilion girls. we get on the ride, they scream their heads of as soon as the doors cose. then they dont make any noise on the intire ride exapt saying the Holograms looked fake.

yeah, that can be annoying. i hate people who scream just for the sake of screaming. if they are scared, like on a coaster, thats one thing....but to just scream cuase you can. that gets very irritating.

Unfortanaly you would still hear them just not as well. jus tthrow htem ove the side.

thats not a bad idea.......unless its like on a coaster, in which i could only hope that their restraints would pop open......
