Review of Splash Mountain @ Magic Kingdom

I was EXREAMLY dissapointed in this ride. I had heard nothing except great things, yet I found it to be a great bore. The ONLY good thing about this ride is the final drop- otherwise it is a snoozer. I realy wanted to beat myself unconscous from the time we left the station, until the final drop. The animatronics were not even that clever... I have no idea what people see in this ride.

I agree, the ride certainly did not live up to its hype. The first time is "interesting", but after that its a joke and the final drop isnt worth the wait.

i HATED it! 3 hours in line to see basically, a show, and then a tiny little drop (which, i might add, is add the VERY end of the 26+ (yes, thats right) minute ride) which is sooooo much smaller than it seems. Geez, if youre going to brag about your parks ride, AT LEAST make it worth-while!

1 the ride is 12 min. long 2 it has one of the hiest drops on the east coast 3 if you wated 3 hours you rode at the rong time i never wate moer then 50 min. by going at around 6 at night the wate is shorter around dinner time.

When I went on this ride, it had so many "stalls" where the ride was temporarily delayed that it took much longer than 12 minutes. I am guessing that is what MagnumMan experienced. Add that to the "show" and it gets real long and boring.

Teh only time I rode this and it broke down. it was opening year. The animatronics are are basic but cartoonish . oh ya they are cartoons. and they go through the intire story. I gues you dint know that.

I think the reason the ride sometimes gets so backed up is because they put too many boats on the circuit. I dont think the ride was designed to have 4 boats stacked at every holding point.

I think the Zoom Phloom in Wildwood, NJ is better even though it has absolutely no themeing!

maybe it is. but slash mountain is a story telling ride first and a flum second and the drops are all fun.

You cant go to disney looking for thrills, fun yes. you had to have nows that at the time you went. you dont go to a stry land themed park and expect to find a hyper coaster!!
