Though it's been surpassed in speed, height, and inversions, Flight of Fear is an incredible, incredible ride. Easily the best themed at Kings Island (since the sad departure of Tomb Raider), Flight of Fear has everything a great coaster needs: speed, force, and a story. The queue line ought to be award-winning. And as for the ride itself? Probably one of the most disorienting experiences you can have. The ride takes place in a giant "spaghetti bowl" of track, with supports and track absolutely surrounding you the entire time, lit only by dim, colored spotlights. There's a constant illusion of a near-miss with the huge supports surrounding you, and you truly and honestly cannot tell which way is up, which is down, etc.

Other than the launch, I found this ride to be pretty boring. None of the elements were very creative and the ride was kind of rough. I personally thought the theming was pretty corny. If you have time it's an OK ride, but there are a lot of better rides at the park.

This is a really great experience. The launch is very fun. the sudden acceleration is quite thrilling, and the straight-away that follows lets you appreciate the raw speed before being thrown into a knot of inversions.

My main complaint about this comes from the brakes in the middle of the ride. I understand that they are probably necessary to reduce turbulence and increase capacity, but for me it kind of ruined the pacing.

Otherwise, it was very exciting. Most of it is in pitch black, so you can hardly see the track. This adds to the thrill, as it is an unpredictable ride that tosses you all over the place without warning! This may not be quite your thing, but personally, I thought it was great!

Overall, great theming, and a great concept for a ride. I reccomend it, but not for the light-hearted. If you want to go on one that&#39.s a bit easier, I reccomend Vortex.

Aside from a zippy launch, there was nothing about this coaster that I found interesting. Indeed, the coaster seemed to lose almost all speed several times throughout the ride, and I felt that the layout was uninspired (mostly turns). The theming added some to the ride, so it gets an extra point there...otherwise, this ride is a 6 for me.

This is one of the best rides at Kings Island.I love when it plunges out of the station very fast and lol I kept my eyes closed the whole time.Im very glad that they changed it to a lap bar it is much more comfortable.

My first ever coaster, at the age of 40, sometimes the lines WAY too long but overall its worth a little wait. Wish theyd fix the theming up a little and maybe do some types of different lights inside like red and green

Decent launch coaster. The theming was good, especially the UFO and the darkness element worked really well for this coaster. I found the launch to be pretty darn good and most of the elements were relatively smooth (though rougher than the one at Kings Dominion) and the first few elements were really intense, but the second half seemed quite slow in my opinion and therefore it wasnt that intense.

This ride is good after you make the long wait. if its raining this would be a good ride to ride, since its indoors.

This ride is not as good as its cousin - Im guessing the difference is that I rode PKDs prior to Cedar Fair taking over, and this one afterwards. The ride nearly stops on the mid-course, so the second half is particularly lame. The rest of the ride just didnt seem to carry the same awesomeness as the Virginia ride, and it seemed to jerk around a bit more - at least it doesnt have those bulky shoulder harnesses, then wed likely be looking at a 1 or 2. It was still an ok ride but I dont need to ride it next time I go to the park.
