Indoor coasters have some limitations by their nature and some advantages, as well. Flight of Fear balances the 2 better than any other indoor coaster that I have ridden. I love the theming. I like how they keep the inside of the ride dark, so that you dont know whats coming next. There is a decent variety in the track considering that it is indoors. I found this version to be smoother and a bit better than the Kings Dominion version.

The main problem with this ride is the hidden wait. You go through the entrance, through a long hall that is the "hangar", into the ufo, through the wierd place with the snappy lights, through a twisty tunnel, and into the launch bay. The line also moves very slowly. After you get in the car there is a long wait, but then the guy says "GOodbye", pushes the button, and sends you forward extremely fast. It actually didnt feel that fast to me, but I rode it right after the racer. It takes you into a huge room with a bunch of wierd turns and they are allbanked so that you are sideways. There is nothing great here, just a normal roller coaster, then it twists you all around in a REALLY dark room until you seriously dont know which way is up - I didnt and thats not using the figure of speech. THere is no wait at the end either. Its a lot of fun if you have all day.

Either I lost weight in the past few seasons, or else the restraints on this ride are more forgiving than on its twin at PKD. Good launched coater... but in a way, I think that the enclosed nature took away from it. The visuals of tearing through that twisted mess of track might have been better in broad day light.

I love indoor coasters and this one is great. Not as great as Space Mountain in WDW, but still great. The launch is fun every time and the theming is the coolest in the park.

this ride was so much fun!...i wish it was in TOTAL darkness but i mean you cant get that much darker...i am taking a point away because I rode it like 5-6 years ago when there was still the shoulder harness and your head kind of banged...so that is why...I think they changed it to a lap bar now which is good...

I like this ride much better without the OTSR. The launch is great and the elements in the dark are great. I especially like the space ship before you enter the ride and the movie they play before the ride. I would give this ride a 10 if it wasnt for the terrible loading capacity.

I am split on this ride.. I cant decide whether to hate it or to like it. I really loved to be launched that gives it some major help. But the use of strob lights makes me a little upset. I have rod this three times... 1st liked it, 2nd hated (coud hardly walk when got out, my head was only hanging on my a thread) 3rd, wasnt as bad as the 2nd. It is extremely rough that is my major complaint. I really cant say anything else about it. It is just an OK ride... Rockin Roller Coaster is just better!

Ok this ridde is one of the best launched rides out right now. It is almost 10 years old and it still is one of the best coasters you can ride. The ride is a little slow in the middle of the ride but toward the end of the ride you really start to fly and you can feel the Gs. This ride turns you so many different ways you can begin to lose your sense of direction. It a must ride.

I was expecting a lot more inversions and a lot less breaking, but I still really enjoyed this ride. The themeing was pretty neat and made the wait a lot more bearable. I was sorely disappointed when the ride was closed the second day I was at the park.
