You'll find that with allot of small parks. they can keep it safe but they can't aford an major overhalling.

I believe Super Man Ultimate Flight at Six Flags Great Adventure is underated because it is short but one of my favorites. Also Talon at Dorney Park.

From what I hear, Great Bear is a pretty underrated coaster.

I feel Big Dipper at GL is underrated, it provides some great standing airtime, especially on the trip home. Also it's extremely smooth with the new retracking, except for the horribly rough spot at the bottom of the first drop.

I havn't heard many bad things about SMUF at SFGAdv. the only complain I have is it's in an open feild. at least they planted grass which is more then I can say for some SF parks.

Have you ridden Big Dipper this year? I found the seat belts are extremely restricting and the cars uncomfortable.

No, I've been too busy this year yet but will probably be going this weekend as we have nothing planned.

Last year, the seatbelts were an annoyance also. Guess I should have said "standing airtime" before Cedar Fair took over. Still, it's a good ride, but I do hate the stupid belts.

It's not right to blame CP for th eseat belts. were they instaled at the begining of th eyear is so SFI put them on. also SF has a terible habot of puting seatblets on everything.

The only coasters that Cedar Fair modified by adding seat belts were Villain, Raging Wolfbobs, and Beaver Land Mine Ride. They removed the ones found on the carousel prior to opening for the current season.

And if you think Cedar Fair is the only chain to be adding extra safety measures to its coasters, think again. Kennywood's Racer, like Big Dipper, features the "buzz bars", but also has seat belts, something it didn't have on my visit a couple of years ago.

Nearly every PTC train has seatbelts now, with just a few exceptions. Two years ago PTC sent out a letter suggesting seatbelts be added to all their trains. PTC now considers seatbelts to be the primary restraint.

Personally, I have no problem with this, I have not felt any difference in ride quality on any of the coasters that I have ridden that have recently had seatbelts added. The only drawback has been slower dispatch times.

With a PTC added restraint it normaly dosn't but many of the parks add a simple seat belt clear across the car and those are often too short for two people.

Most of the parks have added individual seatbelts, one for each rider. I have very rarely seen a belt that goes across both riders on a PTC.

At Cedar Point some of the coasters/rides have one seat belt for both people on the ride.

I'm still a novice when it comes to trains (which are PTC). Anyone know of a list of wooden coasters with PTC trains, I don't think you can sort in that manner on rcdb.

True, I have noticed that.

I believe the belts Big Dipper has is a single belt, which is not a problem as it is very loose.

you can't and most wood coasters have ptc trains. you'ld be better off tryign to get the ones that don't since it's a lower number.

I don't hear much about a floorless called "Superman Krypton Coaster" at SF Fiesta Texas. I wrote a little bit in Underated Parks thread about the park. The coaster uses a cliff to give it some effect. The ride looks really fun. Not a typical clone like most SF parks have.

I believe that trains that don't have a seat divider utalize only one belt, while ones that do feature a seat divider, consider there to be two seats, and therefore have two belts.

Many of the train that have single drop bars in NE also have a single seat belt.
