This is a great starter coaster for kids who might be afraid of getting on the other steal coasters. It has a few good turns and drops that even give adults a pleasurable experience. The end which includes a drop down a simulated mine tunnel is pretty neat. The ride has felt rather jerky to me in the past, but the last time we rode it was not as jerky. Always a must go on ride when you visit.
This is a great ride, especially for children or those who don't want a lot of thrill.
such a great kiddy coaster you should your child on this ride
River King Mine Train is a steel sit down roller coaster. It is a mine train roller coaster. It was built in 1971. It is 35' tall, It is 2,349' long. It is fast, fun, rerideable, it has a large capacity, and a long duration.
This was one of my favorites as a kid and I would love to give it a perfect 10. But it seems like it is getting old and showing its age. The last couple of times I have been on it, it had a huge jerk to it on one of the hills. The line for this is not very long and its a great starter roller coaster for those that arent ready for the more intense ones.
OUCH is the only word to desribe this ride, the cars are VERY un-friendly to the riders, plus it has 3, count them, 3! lift hills which is 2 too many
This ride was pretty boring but there was one part that took me completely by surprise! It was in the tunnel part, I was in the very back, then theres this big drop and I screamed the loudest on a coaster! Everyone looked at me after the ride like "What a wimp!" It had a lot of lift hills too. But this is a mine train, what do you expect? (Except for the ending.)
I actually do think this ride was ok, but I liked the other track better. But it got sold to Dollywood in 1988.
Solid mine train. Second best one I have encountered. (PKIs Adventure Express takes top honors)
This is a decent mine train coaster. Theres no major thrills, so its a good starter coaster for the kids. The ride makes good use of the terrain, and it features a decent-sized drop in the tunnel for the finale. It was one of my favorites when I was little, and it is still worth a ride whenever I visit the park.
