This roller coaster is not exactly my cup of tee. Very small steel coaster that has a crazy track with one of the steepest drops in the world. Although the first drop is very steep it isn't very long. Also, it's location at the park leaves much to be desired. You have to ride this ride at least once! When I go to Indiana Beach again I'm sure I'll hop on it a few times. A wooden roller coaster fan I be.

Smooth with twists and inverted hang time, and greater than 90 degree first drop.

Much respect to the Hawg! It is a fun little coaster and something IB definitely needed, even though they were a great park even before Steel Hawg. With Afterburner closed, Steel Hawg is the only coaster in Indiana to spin you upside down! (until Thunderbird at Holiday World opened) And it's worth the trip!

IB's newest coaster and the first ride you see if you come in the north entrance. It is definitely an intimidating coaster to look at. Its got a very good first drop and loop although it never really seems to get any full consistant speed going to it. But that didn't take away from my enjoyment of the ride.

A fun, but very short coaster. The elements are very unique (steep lift, beyond vertical drop, outside banked turn, &quot.extended&quot. first inversion, drop into second inversion, etc.), but there is so little between them that the coaster ends up seeming a bit disjointed. It is essentially a conglomeration of elements, with no coaster in between. I&#39.m sure this helped to keep the costs down, as it both short in track length and small in footprint size, but it takes some of the enjoyment out of the experience. The seats also have a lot of hard plastic parts that make them somewhat uncomfortable, although the headrests are good. Ultimately, it is a very unique coaster that has elements of a coaster like Maverick with unique, novel elements, but without the great, more traditional coaster parts in between.
