Let me start by saying this is more of a coaster then many of the kiddies that a lot of us count. The ride was funny and well done, but the op was easily as scary as any stunt inside the ride. The cars ran quick and smooth and were definately better then the one at CLP. At the end the ride had to be stopped by the second op with his feet, not a brake just putting his feet up. He had like 7 teeth and could not have been any more streotypical of WV if he tried. Even with all of this it was a solid ride at a park that I had quite a bit of fun at in an hour.
This is a good dark ride i love it. Ive rode it 4 times. With my mom my sister my brother and by mysef. But not in the same day.
This was a surprise. I always ride dark rides when ever I encounter them (which now days is kind of rare) and I especially love the "classic" low tech type compared to the multi million dollar computerized spectactulars. Camdens Haunted House is an example of one of the classic type. Its gravity powered (is it a coaster? is it not a coaster?)... up the lift hill, down a drop, and then into the dark. While not state of the art, the stunts appear to have been replaced in recent years... however they could be illiminated a little better because they were kind of hard to see in the dark. And is it ever DARK in there. The cars get goign at a pretty good speed in there, and they travel the zig zag course as wild as any Wild Mouse. We were dizzy when we exited.
The first two stunts were done well and the timing was right on most of the rest of them but as Cyclonic said, the stunts being behind glass makes them less impressive. This is a far superior experience versus Devils Den at Conneaut
Good classic dark ride. This is one of the few gravity powered darkrides left. It is average speed, it has a large capacity, and a long duration.
I personally think this ride could use a major renovation. With all of the new technology out there in the amusement industry for dark rides, they should really look into investing some more money into this ride.
Great classic dark ride. This is one of the few gravity powered darkrides left. The stunts were hoaky, but well maintained, but they were all behind cages, which takes away from the effect.
