What you see is really what you get; it's a good ride but not spectacular. There really is only the one splash, as the two smaller drops don't really produce any water. It is a fun little ride, which I would say is good for children and adults because it's one of the less intense flumes (not that flumes in general are very intense).

This is the only cheap portable flume I've been on. It was interesting to try. It's definitely not unenjoyable.

APPEARANCE: Well its a portable flume. That being said, it looked pretty good for one since the water was really clean and also the views of the beach during the turnarounds were great.

WAIT TIME: Walk On- There are never any lines for this, and because of Palace Playlands low crowds, the ops let you stay on as long as you want, which is really cool.

RIDE: Like all portable flumes, there are the two drops, the first which was pretty bumpy, but the bigger one was pretty good. However, the splashes slammed me forwards a lot and I came off basically dry. Also, it is short like all portable flumes.

FINAL VERDICT: Well, its a pretty weak flume in my opinion, but for what it is, its still pretty fun, though I have been on been on better models just like this at local carnivals.

Is there anything more frightening looking than a portable flume? Honestly. If I had seen something like this at the county fair, I probably wouldnt have gone on it. What moved me to go on this is a mystery, but...I did and nobody will be surprised to know that what you see is what you get. I think most of the fun of the flume is the ride itself. Some flume rides are pretty long and have some decent theming, albeit it natural sometimes. This was just short and pointless. I think I got a little wet, which is actually better for me (I hate getting absolutely soaked on rides) and I didnt fall off of it, so thats good, but this ride really doesnt have much merit other than that.

Not bad for a portable flume. Not sure if they are designed to keep the water from splashing every where, or if they are designed to soak the riders, but those clear plastic "guards" at the bottom of the drops send all of the water crashing back down on teh riders.

This flume is terrible. there is only water at the bottom. it raised turns falls. hear you get a little wet do to the slash shields. you turn in water, lift, turnout of water again, and down the big hill. at the bottom the car stops fast throwing you foreword. you get slashed less then on the smaller one that was a double dip. could have been fare batter but its only a carnival model.

Not too bad. A little sketchy though, if all the weight in the boat isnt to the front, it sometimes has a hard time catching the belt. Also when you hit the watter, brace yourself or you may find your chin in the shoulder of the person in front of you.
