I think they are good bumper cars. They have a good speed, are fairly easy to turn and control (i didn't see anyone hitting the wall or getting stuck) and had good padding to help with the hits.
These were actually a decent set of bumper cars. While the cars were really slow, they handled very well and had pretty good power and therefore I got some strong collisions off during the ride. The ride however was a bit on the short side.
Not all that fun unless you love bumper cars. I usually skip out on the bumper cars, (blast me all you Knoebels fans

) but the lines for this and most of Hersheys flats were short enough. I found it a little hard to "rock" people and I never felt rocked myself! However, this ride was enjoyable, nothing bad about it, so it gets an average rating.
Ok these are nothing that special, but if you are getting hurt that bad on bumper cars you probably came to the park in the short bus.
The line for the Fender Bender can get to be REALLY long on some days, but the ride loads a lot of people at a time. Im not into the neon colored cars but I really like the restraints. No scary faux fur arm restraints. The cars have little bumper stickers on the back that say "My other car is insured by Geico" with the Geico gecko on them. But the cars actually arent too bad in terms of bumping, but they cant compete with Lusses of course. Plus, it has one of those middle divider things that keep you from getting into those giant jams that last the whole ride. But as with a lot of other rides at Hersheypark the sponsoring is really heavy. Like puring the ride announcements, they have a Geico ad.
Random Fact ~ There are 45 cars on the Fender Bender.
The WORST Bumper Cars I have been on. Thats right, the WORST. I cant say how many times I have hurt my neck on this ride. I havnt hurt my neck on any other bumper car ride.
Circular layouts dont belong on bumper cars.:nono:
These bumper cars are fun. They dont go very fast but its fun ramming into people who cant drive but dont ride them if you have a bad back. Its a fun ride to take kids on.
I was sad to see the old bumper cars go when Hershey replaced them with these newer, much slower cars. In fact, I personally have dubbed them "snail cars" because it seems to be impossible to catch up to the guy right in front of you! I do like the flashy neon colors, but that doesnt make up a good bumper car ride. The Fender Bender is an OK ride, but it doesnt even begin to match up to Knoebels Skooters!
These bumper cars are alright, but they could use some padding. I rammed into my sister at full speed and she sprained her wrist. The metal bars on the sides of the car are not safe, so they should make better, more safety assured cars. But not bad. Not bad at all...
