I give it a ten because it is just a fun ride.. the helix at the top makes it so different.. the drop is great and the way you go through the park is amazing.. I felt like i was going to hit something... great ride and not rough

This is one of the best coasters I have ever been on! The helix before the first drop is awesome. I dont know how Hersheypark was able to squeeze that one in. The only problem I have with this ride is that it is too short. However, I do not have any other problems with it. A lot of people say the ending is weak. I think it is very neat to just ride over the people. The speed could have been faster, but it was fine the way it was. Grade:9/10

Great Bear was my first inverted and was one great ride. Nice helix at the top and great inversions. A absolute must ride at Hershey Park.

I dont know how B&M did it. There is no room what so ever for an inverted coaster where the Great Bear is located, but yet somehow they managed to fit it in. They actually created an &quot.out and back&quot. invert that twists and turns and entwines itself through other rides. For sheer &quot. It cant be done, but we will do it for you&quot. fact, this ride should get high marks. For an invert, it only has 4 inversions, but they work so well and are paced so great, that you do not miss that there are not more (Quality over Qunatity). The pacing of this ride is very good, and the unusual helix right off the lift hill (and at 125 or so feet in the air) is a great element. The lift hill looks deceptively small from the station, but when you see the lift hill rise as the hillside drops away below, you realize that this coaster is taller than it first appears. If you are on the right side of the train, watch for the part where the sooperdooperlooper tracks try to take your feet off.

An excellent inverted coaster. The helix off the lift hill is unique and excellent. The use of terrain is terrific and the supports are used well as choppers. If you havent tried the front row it is definately worth waiting for.

nice gs on the helix at the top. great beginning and middle, but it doesnt follow the wardley rule.. has a crappy ending. after the corkscrew it just kinda drifts into the brakes. otherwise its great. best ride: front seat @ nite

One of my favorite inverted coasters because its so smooth and doesnt bang your head around like most others. I did wish the ride was a little longer though.

Great Bear is my #8 ride. It has good elements and is very smooth. I gave it a 9 because it doesnt have enough Gs (the only time you feel anything is in the helix before the drop). You dont even feel weightless in the Zero-G roll!

This is a great example of how to use your land in a theme park. An average B+M, but an average ride of theirs is fairly good. Nice inversions and Gs, but not an outstanding ride.

A very unique coaster. The helix at the top has some surprizing gs. And a spot of airtime here and there if you sit in the very last row.
