This ride keeps you off the seats but the stupid seat belts( a big no no) hold you down. The ride itself is similar to the flyer comet a Whalom. This one is a little slower and lacks anything truly amazing. The wait time is short no mater the length so jump in line and have a good time. :beer:

Update - with a new year lots of oil have this coaster running fast and smooth. this ride performed better then Cyclone opening day. gets a big bonus.

This coaster may not have anything.."truly amazing" but it isnt meant for that..What it DOES have is Charm, Great Airtime, and an overall nostalgic ride..It defintely deserves more than a 4..IMO..

But yes I agree its time to get rid of those belts.

I had origanally given it a 7. but I went back and they wer runign with a brocken car. We told them and they did nothing. then we wend a few more times and they hadnt oiled it well. the ride squealed allthe way through. I was holding my ears as aposed to having my hands up. the ride itself is working alright al the end of the year. but the train shook do to a bad wheel. that is why such a low rating.

Eh, dont lower the rating of this great coaster just because Six Flags doesnt know how to maintain wood coasters. If I did things like that then Rolling Thunder at Six Flags Ghetto Adventure would be a two-BUT Ive ridden this coaster when it was in shape. I swear, if I go back this year to see Thunderbolt and Cyclone in even worse shape, they can take their season pass and shove it.

Thunderbolts an ok ride but yea its not well kept..i didnt do it last time i was there but i did the time before and its worth about a 5 i think.

Thats the wy i do things. i A ride gets better I rais the rating. if it gets wors I lower it. Superman isnt a ten its like a 7 on my rating because the last time I went they were still missign the red train, runign it tarably uncowordinated, and runign on a bad wheel.

Superman will always be a 10

Try riding it with a bad whel shacking through the intire ride do to a bad wheel.

Teh problem was the train wasnt falowing the track well when you went up the seat was going down a little. I got brooses on my thise.

that sucks..i apologize on behalf of Six Flags and their poor upkeep of rides

I am praying that they will at least have both trains on the coaster next year. Canobie has and excuse foe runign one train SFNE donst.I have progresavlt had luck at SFNE I always get crap in my eye when riding the thunderbolt and sometimes on the Cyclone.

ok never happened to me. though once on flashback it was night out and while goin down the hill you know it goes through the station which has lighta which attract knat and mosquitos and moths and while goin through the station i opened my mouth and swallowed probably a dozen bug (on accident of course). i was choking through the entire ride

Ya you got to kep your mouth shut around hear!!! my brother took a beatle to the hand coming of the first drop of Georgia Cyclone his intire pulm was red.

CoasterKev is my brother. his on the site. but not that often. I dont know why. he keeps telling me to say this to someones post. He should do it himself. Im tryig to get more peaple on the site that are local. its nice to talk to peaple that havent ggrown up on th eother site of the Country and see things copleatly deforent.

Yes but having grown up hear you will likely be a litle mor ein tuch with history. I feel that it why I look at parks deforantly then most. I look at their history as well as everything else.

yea ill admit even when i do move away ill still be researchin my NE parks

Ya NE has a way of combining the ond and the new. the Thunderbolt and Cyclone to Superman and Batman, the Cannonball and the Corkscrew. The wild cat and Bolderdash. NE parks has away of keeping History and adding the modern.

i need to go to compunce and funtown and stuff liek that.

I think you would injoy the parks. they have a very clean park and the employess ae great. and and they all have some really good rides.

boulder dash, wildcat, and excalibur look like great rides. even galaxi looks ok.

Bolder dash is fantastic. Woild cate is a classic coaster 76 years onld this year. could use some retracking. Excaliber is 100ft of pure exitment its got air, lats, Gs, and a great layout. Teh Galixi is the same as Canobies was.

i cant wait for boulder dash this year. excalibur is an awesome roller coaster and is very underrated. the galaxis are fun but i found canobies rockin rider to be the better of the two

You should have riddin it before all teh bracks. it was tell times better. hint on boulder Dash, try to ge tthe Yellow car its the faster of the two. and it you want to wait for a seat go for the back seat. thow its funny I injoyed the Middle and front of Excalobur beter then the back.

thats what alot of people say about excalibur but i found the back to be better. my favorite part of the ride is the hop into the first helix, it got me a good 6 inches out of my seat everytime in the back (with minimal restraints) while it wasnt as nearly as intense in the front

True great aair in the back of Ex. the thing about the front is th eintensity. you look forword and think the track is going to ge leaft and then you fly tothe right. it looks like the track well do the complet oposet of what it dose. I just hop the one Canobie had designed it that good. well hopfully better.
