 Review of Dahlonega Mine Train @ Six Flags Over Georgia

The only reason this ride doesnt get a 1 is because the final drop was pretty good. Other than that this whole ride sucks. Its slow, jerky, and I think it literally jumped off the tracks at one point.

Literally jumped off the track? Were you on something when you road this ride. Its a mine train. How many have you been on? They tend to be slower. The fastest Mine trains are upwards 45mph. Most of which are in the 30-35 range. So its speed is the nature of the beast.

Well if it stayed on the track it didnt jump the track. If there was a moment of fast Air time the train will travel up as well.

Just having trouble understanding your reasoning. I admit some rides just dont sit well with some people. But Mine train are slower. Twists, Turns, Tunnels, etc. Ill admit its not Thunder mountains but still on of the better mine trains out there. But I havent been on it in a while and its quality may have changed over the years.

Most likely has since you rode it. I sat in the back and it just plain hurt. But then again I heard it was built back in the 60s by the park itself, so that could be the reason.

It was Rehabbed in the early 80s by OD Hopkins. I know that much. But I dont know how much work if any was done in that time. Its been 10 years since Ive ridden this coaster. With Premiers Maintenance record I can see how it may have gotten bad. But it can be fixed.

SFOG is by far my favorite SFI park. I really want to get back. maybe next summer. But this ride cant be worse then Canyon Blaster at TGE.
