A true John Miller classic racing coaster that is alot of fun and gives you alot of airtime. The layout is great how you start on one side and end on the other. I still dont understand how they do this. It delivers good speed and on the 3 turns you can slap hands with the other racers which adds to the fun. Its a good stater coaster for children as well. The Racer is a wood sit down roller coaster. It was built in 1927. It is a racing coaster. It is 2,250' long, 73' tall, It lasts 1:32. It was built by Charlie Mach. It was designed by John Miller. I think it is also a mobious coaster.

hi. the "mobius strip" layout is acheived on racer by never allowing a "circle" to occur, meaning that typically on out and back racers all turns are in the same direction. the racer at k-wood on the other hand has a spilt before the lift (the mirror image, like rebel yell) but thereafter runs perfectly parallel (like colossus) creating an imbalance, effectively "folding" the mobius strip. check it out on paper. very cool! as an aside, lightning racer at hershey has several spliting points where it alternates between mirror image and parallel but each time it does this there is another manuever to rectify it, so you end up in the station on the same side as you start.
