Review of Mission: Space (Orange) @ EPCOT
0 Rating Posted by: kchristieh on 4/11/2004 8:22:00 PM
I went to Epcot three days ago, and Im still not completely recovered from this ride. Im in good health and physical shape, and followed all the instructions they gave before the ride, but I still got extremely nauseous from this ride. In addition, my right arm was tingling afterwards (heart attack?!?) and I still cant move my head quickly to the side without getting sick. Three of the four people in my party were unable to ride any more fast rides that day. The only thing good about this ride for me was that the mission didnt make me return to earth!

BUFFMAN: You are one of the most stupidest people on earth! What are you, 100 years old or something? No way does Mission Space get that low of a rating. The lowest I see it getting is a 8, even from you gramps!

BUFFMANS SIDEKICK: This is the greatest ride. How could you get nauseous on this? Im 10, and I didnt get sick, you whinebag! Howe can you get a heart attack from a simulator?!? And your last comment was stupid (I can plainly see you are not witty)! And your right arm tingled on this, then Id like to see you on a roller coaster. jeesh.

lol, if you easily get motion sickness, thats your problem, not the rides.

You need to rate a ride on the rides merits not what it does to you. I rated the ride objectively eventhough it BEAT MY ASS

I dont know, you guys - they said theyre in good health, and that there were other members of the party who got banged around, too. Sure, a 1 is maybe a bit much, but the persons got a point. Unless you go into a ride where its obviously going to shake you up (roller coaster)...a simulator, on the other hand? Having ridden them before, I wouldnt go into one expecting to be tossed around. Ive never ridden this one, but from what Ive read, its maybe a bit too much for most folks - by that I mean it actually causes injury. That isnt kchristiehs fault.

I was only 41 when I went on the ride. The other members of my party who had problems were 42 and 10. We dont have excessive motion sickness problems.
I guess the recent death confirms that this ride is dangerous.

The recent death only confirms that people dont read signs. The ride is working perfectly therefore it is no more likely to cause death then a trip in the car, so get some facts. As far as you getting sick did you also believe the huge warning signs about motion sickness were not for real. Disney posts the signs and if you dont read, or dont believe them you deserve whatever consequences befall you. I have a slight motion sickness problem, but for me the attraction caused me to make the decision to ride, I was nervous that I would get sick and once I got queesy, but that was all. Putting in that a tingly arm may be a heart attack is weak. I slept on my arm and it tingled I didnt believe that I was almost dead.

I never want to sound like I dont feel for that kid, but I am also so tired of the media blowing so many things out of proportion adding with that how many people seem to believe that everything in the world is someone elses fault.
