My Friend pushed me on this ride (my first real coaster) and thank goodness he did! since then i have been coaster crazy!!!! i went on it 7 times i think that it might have been the best day of my life!
:Just Rode it yesterday (june 17th) the air time was amazing still the best coaster ive been on Update went to dorney now its #3

yea yankee cannonball is a good ride..better than the canobie corkscrew..give you lots of air time.anyways welcome to the site.

I agree welcoem to the site Im happy to hear you had such a great Experiance at canobie. I just wish they would listn to my brother and me and tunnel in the drop of the corkscrew. but they are highly consedering onride photos.

personally, and dont get all defensive mrceagle, id like to see corkscrew removed..all it is really is a drop and two corkscrews...if they could use the land then i say demolish it..canobie is in need of another coaster..corkscrew is ... and the yankee cannonball is great but they havent added one in a while..the starblaster was a good addition..now for the next thrill. maybe a floorless or an inverted..they have a height limit of 80 ft you said but they can always drop into a tunnel.

That cant be easly dom the water leavl is only 4 ft downa and at 5 you hit granet. a tunnel would be a million investmentin itself. they did have a mager wood twister designed by CCI, so hopfaly they will get GGI, GCI, or S&S to build it. also get the White water raft ride built. just get rid of the ball field and they can build a majer coaster but will need to be silanced.

I dont compleatly obect to the Idea. bu tthis is the #3 Arrow Corckscrew, no the second oldest and with the maintanince done it is so mush better then it used to be.

yea its historical but i just never really liked it. i would love to see another woodie bulit but itd have to surpass cannonball..a hard thing to do.. so it sounds like its hard to work w/ the land there..must be hard to get footers in for a coaster.

They bought the Corckscrew was bought two years before they opened it. they had it reprofild sloghtly and refrbashed. they have updated the trains and put better weels on it. it mooves much betteer. but I have this philosophy that you should add not replace. especialy when they only have 4 right now.

It used to be called the Galixy. the ride was referbished and given a 50s theme. thow the new Computer systum is easyer it can get in the way. the trim bracks were turned on so it really slows the ride down. it isnt as good as it used to be.

thats it, Galaxy..yea i rode it when it was that..i think Canobie needs one more major attraction to bring me back (the current attractions i consider major: yankee cannonball, corkscrew, Boston Tea Party and Starblaster. its kind of a long drive up to new hampshire..do-able but like 4 hours so i wouldnt go for just 4 attractions.

So do you live in NY somewhere. They are adding a Flying swing in 2003 and for a show they are bringing in Elvis Impersanater from Vagus. Thow the prices are giong up by one doller. Thats a little fishy. I think they may be adding somthing else and not telling me and my brother.

eh a swing isnt that great.i dont usuall ride them..id like to see a coaster..ive never watched the shows there either. id like to see another coaster..but that 80 ft rule sux..maybe they could put in a launched coaster. o and if u were askin me i live in warwick, RI.

The reason I thought NY is that RI isnt that far away. Unless you are extreamly unlucky and hit trafic. it shouldnt take more then 2 hours. The thing is Canobie is a family park so if you look. they added the Boston Tea party then over the next 4 years thay added a rock wall, two family rides, a few Kidie rides. they also did alot of refurbs on the rides. then they added the Starblaster. they do want a new coaster and it will be sun but it is a matter of finding one within the hight or geting someone to build the design they have. I two agree they need another coaster but its a matter of finding a good one.

yea..i hope they put one in..canobie takes awhile..dont kno why..prob traffic...i think they should put in a launched coaster o they wont have to worry bout height..tho they should repeal that stupid rule and put in a hyper

Even if they did they wouldnt install a hyper. they would be more likly to build two coaster insted of one hyper. they also have the stuck up locals to deal with. if they were tobuild a launched coaster it would have ot be on an expantion into the land that if not conedered residential. they other thing is the launch are will likly ned to be inclosed to block the noise.

as far as a long trip gose. next time you are coming to canobie let me know and have you parents contct me. my brothers and I will find you a faster rout.

ok..ill see if i can get them to go this year..actually..maybe i could go w/ my cousin..hed take me..i think..he was sposed to take me 2 SFGAdv. last year but we didnt for some reason. i know they wouldnt install a hyper..but i love them..id ride a hpe over anyother ride..but yea it is a small park in a community so they dont have many optins..how much room do they have..id say replace corkscrew but there isnt much room there..where could they fit in a coaster?

In total they own 160 acres. but alot of the land in resanential and has houses on it. they rent them out. a few of them are used for the BUNAC students(english workers, job trad thing). Tehy have the land behind the corkscrew about 8-10 acres. they have the ball feild which they use as extra picnic crounds. its about about 16-20 acres. their bigest problem is geting the land expanded into the land that is now resadential. once they have that land they can expand wthout a problem. also i would try to buy houses on the other side of the water way. with them out of the way you have more ability to instal rides.

yea trhey shoul forget the houses..i think canobie has SF potential (with rides, not w/ ride care or service cuz im sure theyre already ahead on that)

I agree, Ironicly SF tride to buy canobie. well acualy premeir did twice. they were planing on shuting it down the first time and usinghte land for storage. the second time was juat before they bought Riverside. They ofered 160mill for the park but they refused fearing they might shut it down like they previasly tride. with a little good planignthey could really expand and with two more good oaster. a Wood twister and a steel looper. they will be set and will acually destroy SFNE. theyre already pulling more atendance.

ehh i dont know about destroying SFNE..yankee cannonball is good but i think cyclone is better..plus nothing will beat S:ROS.

Cyclone has ben trimed to a baby ride. and SFNE is runing of on one key ride. Batman althow a great coaster isnt as good as the ther other floorlesses out there. it is a fantastic ride but donst have much of a lure. they are operating of the popularity of superman and nothing else. Canobie is already a cleaner, better maitained, and better landscaped park. the park had better attendance last year then SFNE and this is with a shorter year. with a few more rides: a couple good thrill rides, then add the wood Twister and White water rafting ride they have previasly designed. then add two good steels a B&M invered and a good malty looping steel and they will have it.

exactly..it can be a good park..it looks a lot better..as for batman, your right..ive only ridden 2 other floorless coasters (kraken and Superman: KC) but they both destroy batman.

true the larger Florlesses give alot more. but Batman is a marvil of design as far as coasters go. it is a wicked coaster in a tiney space. Canobie is on their way. and I am looking forword ot the day. I jsut want then to get a Season pass so I can spend a little les money. I went to SFNE 4 times and got a Season pass at $60. I went to Canobie 14 times and spent a total of $225 and another $75 for the ACE preservation conferance.

wow..i want to join ACE but i gotta wait til im older..im startin to seriously think about goin backl to canobie..i miss the ankee cannonball.it was such a great ride..and i found an old brochure from canobie and i was lookin at it. plus i wanna go on starblaster, and i was readin the reviews for hte mine ride and i dont even remember the mummy part so obviously its been to long.

Have your family join or just sign up yourself. even if you don do any big events you get te magazins and new letters. also the Noreaster non coaster riding event is well today in worick RI. Its being held at he forign leagon or elks. its on rosevelt and central.

whoa..hold up..there is in ace event in Warwick 2day..i wish i knew..the prob w/ ace is its like what $50 a month..id have to pay and id be the only one signing up and i dont have that money now..i dont have a job yet. ill wait til the summer when i have a job and a car.

Accualy Its 50 bucks a year. and it is well worth it . I had a plast. but the scup on new attraction for SFNE, Compounce, Funtown/Splashtown USA.

at the noreaster the event held yeasterday. they let up know(the scup, fancy 20-40s new writer talk) what was coming to the parks. SFNE will say more on wendsday it aboutthe water park. Lake compounces new water play area, Funtown/ Splashtowns water play area and posible mager family raft ride.

I went, oh I can get you to canobie in abotu 2 hours. we traviled from Brookline to RI in under two hours.

is brookline in NH.. so u were in warwick..i wish i coulda gone but i hadne even heard of it.

Acually we were in Central Falls. But I was told Worwick isnt far away. and yes brookline is in NH.

Central Falls..lol..how was it..thats like ythe poor part of RI..kinda like the ghetto of RI. warwicks not too far away but then again RI is the smallest state..no citys too far away

It was fantastic. I had a blast. if thet is the poor part of RI I dont know how good the rest of the state looks. i thought the town looked great for the most part. at least rosevelt was nice. alot of old mill buildings.

ive never been to CF but its sposed to be shit. its not the absolute ghetto of RI (pawtucket, north prov) but its bad. So what was it exactly? whatd ya guys do?

Basicly we( the ne ACE members get together. we watch coaster Videos and get cought up on what th eparks ar up to. we have peaple that are in contact with the parks. and in some cases peaple from the parks come to us. we played a coaster Mathc game for fun and just got t talk an see what every one was up to. aqually the city ws really nice.

not clarks..well maybe i dont remember. no reviews cuz ive been but my memory isnt great. actually since ive been on ive been remmbering more about them but i dont like poting from memories that are like 7 years old. then u might mess sumthin up. i havent been to canobie in like 4 and u didnt seem to like my corkscrew review and its cuz it was based on old memory and its not like that n e more. they wouldnt be very good review.maybe i will but not now.

Not that I hate it is somone went just last yar and said it was ruff. i would question it. i try to strick up conversation with the peaple that have been to canobie especially.

Its a small road side attraction. its only $10.00 to get in. tehy have a Steam train ride were you get chased by acharacter cold the wolfman, a taditional crucked house, Merlins Mystical Mansion(HUdini like but with better working effects), Bumper boats with sprayers, A circus show, and theri bigist attraction a traned black baer show. youll just have to watch out for the puns they can get a little unbaerable.

lol..i remember seein clarks a couple times but i dont think we ever went. i remember seein signs for it too..loks ok but nothin special.

If you ever go up to see the foliage or stay for a couple of days definalty go. its well worth the $10.00 they charge. you can spend a day or do it a a few hours. but a nice place overall.

i dont know when the next time ill be up there is, once i get a car and a job i hope i can travel but tht wont be for a while, august could be a busy month for me, but if im near there ill check it otu

Good. if you have a tent, their are alot of good Campgrounds around their. definatly cheaper then a motel

yup..ill see. i mean there are 3 main parks i want to do this summer- SFGAdv, SFNE, and Canobie. now my parents will take and pay for one and itll prob be SFGAdv which is good cuz its the furthest away and prob the most expensive. now if i can find a drivers ed class in june (whcih could be hard cuz of this new law) and get a job i may be able ot do SFNE and Canobie on my own. i hope.

ok actually im about 15 1/2 but i like to round up lol..n e way the new law in RI sayin that startin june 1st (june 6 is when ill be eligible for drivers ed) you have to take drivers ed in ur school. right now there is a place in mass called labontes every1 goes too cuz its fast and easy to pass. but i cant go there..i have to go to my school which is harder but even worse, harder to get into. right now in RI even w/ labontes its a pain in the ass tryin to get in..so what do they do, they make it harder. so i might not get in my 1st time.

Move to Georgia. you dont need trivers ed and they do your drives test on a litel track. basicly a full size version of what you se at a Kindergartin.

i wiwsh..with my luck i wont have my license til im 18..and this law wont make it easier. i was hopin to get it in August in which case id have a coaster-filled august but i dont know if itll happen.

Well like I said. watch you r freinds and relatives. if theri going to a park hitch a ride. that way you can get alot in. in all els fails one of your friends has to have an older brother of sister. bribe htat person with entrance and food.

i got lots of friends with older bros but the farthest theyve ever driven me was home and once to the grocery store. i dont think theyd drive me 2 hrs to a park especially if my friend wasnt goin since none of my friends are into parks. whehn i went to FL 2 years ago it was my family and my friends family. i spent more time with my friedns dad and his brother than with him.

Con himm then. and get some better freinds. rides are important. they must ride. tell them to get some ball and come with you.

if i ditched all my friends who dont like rides id have..uhh lemme think..umm carry the 1..o yea NONE. my best friends is a pussy. he is petrified of coasters for 2 reasons. he gets motion sickness and he thinks theyre unsafe. one time a while ago i tried explainin how safe coasters are. during my speach my dad walked in the room holdin the article in the paper of supermans little accident. my other two best friends, well one is afraid of heights, basically anything over 50 ft and the other claims he loves coasters but then one year i took him to SFNE and all he would ride was thunderbolt. he made up a different excuse to get out of each coaster.

You have wimpy friends. My trips normaly consist of a group of 4-10 peaple. I have alot of freinds that love coasters. and i have a few that dont. I try to get them to go on rides but the same thing.. they make up excuses. my mother has become that way. but she is making a hug efert to to try them. last year she went of Bolderdash and The cannonball. so she is planign to be more daring. I want to start her off on batman

lol. well when i got to SFNE i go w/ my cousin. hes in his mid 30s and he loves thrulls. hes promised to take me skydiving on my 18th birthday. last year my dad and my uncle went but my dad wont wait in lines more than like 20 mins to all he did was complain throught he 1 1/2 hour wait of Superman. my uncle wouldnt ride scream (our first ride of the day) and on our second which was S:ROS he got sick. yet he still went on batman and cyclone. my mom will do coasters if theres no inversions and she wants to try S:ROS. if we go to GAdv this june ill try to get her on nitro. thats why i think i dont do many parks over the summer. no one wants to really go except my cousin and hes a pilot so his schedule is like gone for 2 weeks, back for one week then out again so its hard to plan around him

ya that shounds hard. I wish you cauld serch out pasters on this site. You could see if their is anyone in th earea that is on this site. get a group to gether and do a trip.

thatd be cool. itd be easier if everyone put their hometown in their profile. it would be fun goin to parks with other enthusiests. my cousin is kinda one. he has a friend who is a memeber of ACE but everytime hes in town i never get to see him. id like to talk to him. supposedly he was at my aunts wedding last sept but i didnt see him. ive always wanted info on ACE from him.
