Good ride, but it didnt have quite enough airtime, and I also think it didnt flow as well as other B&Ms.

Not enough airtime??? Nitro has a ton of airtime especaily right afterthe brake run.
Tucci on 3/28/2002 11:25:50 PM said:
lol i love the stuff after the break run cuz u get CRAZY airtime. lol except the most recent time i was on it i felt like a was gonna black out on the stuff after the break run. good thing skull mountain was right next to it. it gave a much necessary breather. but yea after the break run there is A LOT of airtime but hey, an opinion is an opinion.

tons of air throughout- in the back of the train as you crest the lift hill, two camelbacks before the breaks and all the hills after the breaks. i was floating until the station

It doesnt have nearly as much airtime as Superman Ride of Steel.

I love SROS. but Nitro has more airtime than Superman.

Nitro does have more hills with airtime than Superman, but the airtime is weaker on them. Quality over quantity.
B&M Rider on 3/30/2002 12:59:06 PM said:
nitro did have airtime, just not enough, and as u got to the tops of the hills it went too slowly
Sephiroth7 on 3/30/2002 6:59:01 PM said:
i sat in the front of both Nitro and SROS and Nitro was the victor. SROS has great airtime, I just prefer Nitros floatier experience...
daptwa on 4/1/2002 12:35:04 PM said:
You need yo ride in the back of Nitro to feel all the airtime the ride has to offer. However sitting in the front you dont get anywhere close to as much as in ther rear.
Sephiroth7 on 4/2/2002 6:04:33 PM said:
Not in my opinion...I flew out of my seat way more then in the back...same on all other rides...
mrceagle on 4/3/2002 9:46:09 AM said:
The airtime on nitro is immense. the ride is truly a very original design.
sfnesros on 4/3/2002 2:41:31 PM said:
Superman is much better than nitro. Whoever says nitro has more airtime than superman must be crazy.

what hyper has the most airtime?
daptwa on 4/9/2002 11:41:33 AM said:
I think superman is a better ride than Nitro BUT Nitro has does have more airtime.
sfnesros on 4/9/2002 2:36:47 PM said:
supermans airtime ejects you out of your seat while nitro just gently floats you out. Its pretty easy to see which one has more airtime by looking at pics. Nitros hills are massive while supermans are not as big. This way, the trains on superman carry much more speed over the tops of the hills. This equals more airtime.
B&M Rider on 4/9/2002 4:55:12 PM said:
no, i mean, which hyper in the whole world has the most airtime, not just superman and nitro
Sephiroth7 on 4/9/2002 7:31:58 PM said:
But when u float...youre out of your seat for a longer amount of time...

SFNESROS I love sros also. I think its the best coaster in the country but I dont think you can truthfully say it has airtime than Nitro especialy in the rear. As far as which coaster has the most airtime in the work I would probably say apollos chariot.
sfnesros on 4/10/2002 2:30:27 PM said:
I can say superman has more airtime than nitro. I honestly think it does. I have never been on a coaster with as much airtime as superman. Nitro still is great, though
Sephiroth7 on 4/10/2002 3:07:39 PM said:
Yea, both are worldclass coasters regardless...
Shortcake on 4/11/2002 4:23:24 PM said:
I agree Sephiroth, they both are world class coasters. Which one is better is a matter of preference. Some prefer floating airtime while others (myself included) prefer ejector airtime. Its always an interesting debate. Phantoms Revenge is another great hyper with ejector airtime.
Sephiroth7 on 4/13/2002 3:56:52 PM said:
Have you been on California Screamin? That has ejector airtime as well, as well as it being an Intamin.
Tucci on 4/14/2002 9:13:13 PM said:
This has almost turned into a B&M vs. Intamin debate. The question that asks whats better: A B&M hyper, with its floaty hills (Nitro, Apollos Chariot, etc.) or an Intamin/D.H. Morgan hyper, with its ejecting hills (S:ROS, Phantoms Revenge, etc.) Its simply an opinion, and many different people will have many different opinions, but I perfer the B&M airtime. I just feel more of a hanging in the air feeling on a B&M than an Intamin/D.H. Morgan.
daptwa on 4/19/2002 2:32:45 PM said:
Ive never ridden a Morgan Hyper but I just think the B&M Hypers make you feel a little too safe. You want to feel some what afraid because that makes the coaster experience better.
Sephiroth7 on 4/19/2002 2:47:21 PM said:
In my opinion, steel coasters dont really give you the feeling of unsafety. I want them to be smooth, Il leave the roughness for woodies...
daptwa on 4/19/2002 3:09:50 PM said:
I agree steel coaster dont give you that unsafe feeling but, some feel alot safer than others. Nitro feels like there is nothing bad that can happen throughout the whole ride.
Sephiroth7 on 4/21/2002 4:27:12 PM said:
Yea, but Im not scared when I go on something like Medusa or Sros either...
daptwa on 4/22/2002 12:45:23 PM said:
I not saying you should be scared on any of the steel coasters but I just saying that some steel coasters have a safer feeling than others.
Sephiroth7 on 4/22/2002 7:03:37 PM said:
True...but in this case they are both pretty smooth....and all Im really saying is Im not scared for my life on either...
daptwa on 4/23/2002 2:37:04 PM said:
Neither am I. But on Nitro it feels more like controlled intenseness rather than on Superman it feels more like uncontrolled intenseness.
Sephiroth7 on 4/24/2002 3:25:05 PM said:
I can see what your saying, but I really dont think it makes the ride more enjoyable....however I do enjoy that they are different experiences, rather then them both being smooth or reckless...
