The Serpent is a steel sit down roller coaster. (Galaxi). It was built by SDC in 1972, and relocated in 1989. It is 45' tall, it is 1,919' long. It is fast, fun, rerideable, it has a large capacity, and a long duration.
Decent galaxi coaster. This one ran with 2 car trains and therefore was faster than a lot of others out there. The first two drops didnt give any air on this one, but were zippy and the second had a good headchopper. The helixes on this one were smooth and fun as usual as well.
This ride seemed to be in good condition. We got to ride it three times and the operator didnt even pull the break lever before the third ride; we flew right through the station.
Surprisingly a decent mouse coaster. The 2nd drop gives a good head-chopper feeling as you pass beneath the 1st drop hill and the sudden twists and turns throw you around pretty good (not pointlessly, like many newer mouse coasters, but for actual coaster elements). Its far from perfect, but its well worth your time and a strong representive of what a mouse coaster can be.
Pretty cheezy... feels like its gonna fall apart. Worth one ride to up the count.
