Based on some of the reviews from 2004 they must have updated this attraction. I did not find it run down, I mean it is not brand spanking new but everything worked. I found the day glow paint to not be as prevalent as other walk throughs. Yes there is quite a bit but the walktrhough is very long. Ive been in others where 80% of the attraction is day glow. The titled rooms and spots of pitch blackness were excellently done. I became disoriented in the spinning rooms with strobe lights, which is not common for me. Far superior to the Arabian one right next door.
Just a great experience. The halls are so small and dark, the walk-through is even a bit scary. The effects are amazing and there never seems to be a safe step! You cant miss this walk-through, and do yourself a favor and go through the Arabian one too (and remember to not wear flip-flops) even though I dont see it on TPCs ride list. This to me is a lot better than Haunted House. Simply a cant-miss.
It was more terrifying when I was a kid back in the 1970s... but this long and DARK walk through has stood the test of time pretty well. Back in the 70s I always went through this with my dad (I was too scared to go myself). Big difference is that when I went through it today, I was leading the way... Not "terrifying" as back then, but still creeped me out having to be the one to feel my way through this in the dark, narrow passages.
i thought it was really boring and needs some work. the only part I liked was the fun-house affects in the front outside part of the ride
I enjoyed this funhouse when I went through it this summer. It had been many years since I last went in. I do agree a bit with a previous post about a little too much glow-in-the-dark paint. That seems to be happening more frequently. However, I enjoyed most of the dioramas and thought it was a pretty long walk comparatively. There was a kid, maybe about 10 who gave his tickets to the operator right after we did. I asked him if he wanted to go ahead of us, knowing that most kids fly through those things. But he was a bit scared, and followed on my shirttails very closely! It made me laugh although I felt bad for him. Nice to know kids can still get scared by fun/haunted houses.
A dumb fun house, it is in poor condition and lacks any special features. The only good thing about this ride is its birds that talk to you. This ride also seems to be a fire trap.
Gets high marks for uniqueness and length and because the talking parrots out front work. But its only in "ok" condition and is a little heavy on the glow-in-the-dark paint. For more on this ride see laffinthedark.com.
Do NOT pass this one up when youre in Ocean City. This funhouse is of the old-world variety - a tilted room, pitch darkness, visual effects and vintage stunts. For you guys who know what this means: Classic Bill Tracey. I dont want to give any more away - Ill just say this - do NOT miss it!!!
