I haven't been to alot Six Flags, I was wondering which ones were the ones to skip and which are really good.

Personally I think that SFNE is the best as far as mednium sized parks go. Good food, good coaster line up, good childs part of the park, decent sized water park, although I have never been in the water park.

SFNO Seams like it's in the worst condition and the rides almost never run.

I searched, and I think it has been lost in a purge. That sucks, because it really was a good thread.

Google Search TPC BEFORE you create that new thread

Really good SF parks: Six Flags Great America, Six Flags over Georgia, Six Flags Great Adventure, & Six Flags New England

Easy to miss SF parks: Six Flags New Orleans, Six Flags Elitch Gardens, Six Flags Darien Lake, Six Flags Marine World, & Six Flags Kentucky Kingdom

6 Flags Parks that I liked that I've visited: 6F Great Adventure (Rides are great, but the lines are ridiculous), 6F New England (Superman is awesome, the location is nice, and the rest of the park is decent), and La Ronde (the park is small but it still has most of my favorite types of rides and the location on an island in the middle of Montreal is fantastic)

Other 6F parks that I've been to that aren't so good: 6F Darien Lake (Superman and not much else) and The Great Escape (The Comet and even less other things than Darien Lake).

Oh yeah! I forgot about Six Flags over Texas. I'd definitely put it under the really good SF parks.

You missed Fiesta Texas and Magic Mountain as well...if you were trying to get them all, that is.

I have rarely seen SFNE put in so many "Good" lists as I have seen in this thread.

Here is my list based on the ones I've been too.

SFoG (Good Rides, Good Service)
SFGAm (Good Rides, Good Service)
SFStL (Average Rides, Good Service)
SFMM (Good Rides, Bad Service)
SFGAdv (Good Rides, Bad Service)
SFA (Good Rides, Bad Service)
SFFT (Average Rides, Great Service)
SFNE (Good Rides, Bad Service)
SF La Ronde (Average Rides, Bad Service)
SFKK (Bad Rides, Bad Service)
SFDL (Bad Rides, Bad Service)
SF Great Escape (Bad Rides, Average Service, Selection)

The best variety of food was at SFGAdv, SFGAm, SFMM, SFNE and SFFT.

I didn't spend enough time at SFoG to comment on food.

SFKK, Great Escape, Darien Lake = horrible food selection

Haha what about wild waves and enchanted village, it seams like one to skip. But I would go just because it does have a wood coaster, which I heard sucks, but I would still ride it, because it is still a wood coaster.

I think it just really depends on what you are looking for. To tell you the truth, Six Flags parks have a decent amount of variety from eachother even with things like clones and their notorious reputation to be all about thrills.

At most of the parks, don't expect good service. I have only been to 4 Six Flags parks, but none of them had customer service that could compare to a place like Hershey. I even prefer the customer service at a place like Dorney over the Six Flags parks. At least they have their heads together for the most part, even if the ride ops at Cedar Fair parks are basically robots. That is one thing that I can say about Great Adventure - they have had some really good crews over the past couple of years. However, ride ops at Six Flags America are a joke.

I really like The Great Escape for a nice little family park even if they don't have great thrill rides, good food and bad ride ops. It is just a cute little park that is fun to walk around and good to take in.

I can say that of the parks that I want to get to are Six Flags Great America, over Georgia, Fiesta Texas and I want to go to Magic Mountain just to see what it is like although I am known to be a Magic Mountain hater.

For me:
Great Adventure (Great rides even without flats, Bad service)
New England (Average rides, Bad service)
America (Average rides, Horrendous service)
Great Escape (Poor rides, Bad service)

All I know is Great America is a fantastic park, no matter what you are looking at. Great rides, the service was great every time I have been there. The park is kept up really well, and what little theming is there (I know, it's an *amusement* park) actually really nice.

Definatly try to get to Illinois to go there.

My favorite Six Flags parks are: 1. Six Flags Great Adventure 2. SF Great America 3. SF Georgia 4. SF America 5. Darien Lake 6. St. Louis 7. Kentucky Kingdom. The parks I still want to visit are in Texas, California, and Mass. I don't know if I would fly out to visit the others or not until they put in something that really interests me.

The number one steel coaster in the world doesn't interest you? Trust me it's worth the money to fly out there.

Is SROS in New England any different then SROS at Darien Lake and America? What are the differences?

Well coasterwom. The Superman: Ride of Steel clones at Six Flags America & Six Flags Darien Lake are mirrored clones because the only difference between those two's that they'll go off towards the left or right side after the first drop. Six Flags New England's Superman: Ride of Steel as a completely different layout that easily blows the other two out of the water. For one, there are a lot more bunny hills & huge airtime hills. Also, there's no long & boring double helix like the two aforementioned clones. Finally, it's taller, faster, & longer than the other Superman clones. Look it up at rcdb.com & you'll truly see that the difference between them's extremely noticable.

I think you might have to fly to Germany to ride the top steel coaster in the world.

Timberhawk really is not that bad. I think people don't like it because it is not what they wanted or expected, which was a thrill machine. But it is not meant to be that, it is a family coaster, and when you think of it in those terms, it is a fun ride, with a few really enjoyable moments, and it is very re-riadable.

My one days experience at SFKK this year far exceeded the general service and park managment policies compared to any of my local PKD or SFA trips this year. Maybe I just caught it on a good day, but to me it seemed like a good local's park. I found the people of Louisville to be some of the most genuine good guys I ran into on a trip from Maryland to Arizona this summer. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, of course, but I think SFKK has an undeserved reputation. (Although, I still wish we'd have gone to SFSTL instead)

I thought the park was ok, apart from running 1 train on Chang. Even freaking T2 has 2 trains! Ugh. Oh, and the clientèle sucked.
