I wouldn't call Alpengeist rough - it's more "snappy." The only part that bothered me was the transition into the break run. The cobra roll is just wicked.

^I agree. I rode Alpengiest in the front (1st or 2nd row) and in the far back and didn't encounter anything too bad. It was a pretty darn good ride and smooth to me!
Apollo's wins fairly easily for me, but competition for the next few spots is tough. Kumba, Montu, Sheikra and Alpengeist (in that order) were all very close on my recent ballot.
I can't wait to try Kraken and Steel Eel though, hopefully both will come this season if I pick up a season pass this spring.

Despite how Montu has had the trim brakes added during the ride, it's still better than most of those roller coasters at their parks?

Well, Apollo is in front for me, followed my Montu. Kumba is probably a little behind Alpengeist, so that's #3 and #4. After that, Loch Ness Monster and Big Bad Wolf was just about even, with Scorpion not far behind and Python a distant last. Although I have not ridden SheiKra yet (though that will change this March), I'm sure it will be pretty high on this list.

I'll be riding Kraken this March, so I'll see how good it is then.

I wish I could've went to SeaWorld Orlando & rode Kraken when I was in Florida last July. That would've been an excellent choice for my first floorless coaster experience, but I had a choice for using the $300 I bought w/me to Orlando for SeaWorld Orlando or Busch Gardens Tampa. Obviously ya'll knew that I'd pick BGT over Seaworld Orlando anyday.

I would pick BGT over SWO too...
...but I'd take USO/IoA over BGT with little hesitation.

Isn't Sesame Place also an Anheuser-Busch owned amusement park?

Was it always owned by Anheuser-Busch, or did Anheuser-Busch buy it?

Alpengeist BY FAR! I have ridden every coaster owned by Busch and not only is it their best ride, it's the best inversion in the entire country. BTW, to the one who said it's rough , you are crazy! It's as smooth as freaking silk. BTW I love Apollos Chariot but I would say it is the most overated coaster in the country. Not nearly as great as everyone make it out to be.
