The indoor light show does make this a neat little attraction and a must ride, but they could let it go a little faster and the dips higher.
It took me about a dozen visits to the park before I finally rode and Im glad I did. I always thought it was a Gravitron (stupid me for not reading TPR rides reviews). They ran the ride on a long cycle and played awesome 80s metal (Def Leppard and Quiet Riot). Who cares that the music is loud (I did not find it deafening) and the lights added to the positive experience.
This ride is similar to the Music Express in Hershey, except that its indoors, with a lightshow, and after going forwards, the ride slows, stops and then goes backwards. Where the Music Express only goes forwards, and not as long of a ride. Good ride to ride with someone (significant other, etc.) as the lateral forces make you get close. The flickering strobe lights are not for people with a history of siezures though. Lots of bright flashing zenon strobes and colored lights. Could be better with some lasers with the fog mist, being the cosmotron has a futuristic name, why not add some lasers or techno dance music?
Poor himalaya in my opinion. I like how the ride was inside, but the light show wasnt all that good, though I did like the mist effect. Knoebels also ran this with an average-length cycle that traveled both forwards and backwards, but the rides max speed was relatively slow and pretty bumpy throughout. The laterals werent overly strong as well.
Though it might run a little rough, i still think this is a great ride. i love himilaya type rides and i go on all the ones that i can. I like how this one is inside and more private than the others. Its alot of fun and definitely worth a reride to me.
Pretty lame. There is a reason there are never many people in line for it, and its always ridiculously hot in there.
Cosmotron uses a great atmosphere to make up for what would otherwise be a fairly dull ride. Its not run nearly as fast as it could be, but the ligtning and music make for a very enjoyable experience. My friends and I enjoy rocking out to the music that is played, so that made it more fun than it probably is to most riders.
I love this ride! It is sooo much fun! There is barely ever a line and it has music. Amusement parks and loud music... Two of my favorite things in the world. I love how it goes forwards and backwards and its run at a good speed. The light show part is nothing special but is a good effect and the fog is really cool. This is definately one of the best rides in the park! Plus the seats are very roomy which makes room for sliding. A lot of people dont like that but I love it!
Grrrrr....loud music. The spinning was good and the lights were great too. But I think they should replace this ride with a drop tower, top spin, or coaster. Worth a try if theres a very short line.
This ride was absolutely terrible! I would not reccomend it for people of any age. The music was far too loud and the line far too long for such a mediocre ride.
