A fun log ride. I was very surprised at how wet our boat got! There was a gigantic wave of water after the first hill that just washed right over the boat! The two drops are great, the station is nice, and the canals are fast, but the ride really needs some themeing.
I rode the formerly named "Cypress Plunge" and the new "Ozarka Splash". There is no difference or improvement that much on the actual ride but it is unique, as its a custom made log flume. This adds a little variety to the mix (including two major drops, instead of one) and upps the thrills a great deal. The final drop is, luckly, moderately high because of that. And you would think that you would get wet right? Wrong. Yes, I did get a little damp but Ozarka Splash supplied nothing in terms of a "cool down". Plus theres no theming and that makes the ride seem very bland. If something had been included, the flume would have been much better. Still, theres a pretty good water ride in "the Splash".
The Cypress Plunge is a good ride if you Dont want to get wet but want to get Sprinkled on. Your Riding in a Cypress tree, Thats about to Plunge and you go thur the raging river where you find 2 drops the first one is a little drop that you get more wet on that you do with the big drop. I like the 2nd drop just wished you would get more wet. And By The way Jazzland has Themes for Everything. and this ride fits Perfect in Cajun Country part of Jazzland
This ride is ok, but it has no theme!!! The last drop is fun and you can get a good picture out of it. I would make the theme "The Pizza Story."(dont ask)
I usually enjoy this kind of ride. It just needs to be painted and themed. If it were the ride would be much better. It seems as though the main goal of Jazzland is just to do something with nothing added (give a thrill with no thought)
I have struck yet again on my hate for log flumes.
This one is boring up until the last drop. Not to mention this ride ,as well as others,is frequently having mechanical problems while people are riding it. To be fair ,because I really dont like this sort of ride ,I think it rates a six on the scale of this type of ride.
This is a two-drop Hopkins flume with no theming. The first part of the ride is quite relaxing with a slow float to the back of the ride and to the first hill. There is no tunnel on this ride and basically no theming. Now if they built a cave on that slow winding part of the ride, that would make it a great tunnel of love/flume ride just like the older Arrow models.
