I rode this ride 16 times in a row!
A little painful, but, no pain, no gain.
At the end it feels like the train jumps the tracks!

The first drop is nothing after riding the titan. But this ride is awesome due to the fact it is long. The operator let us find empty seats after the ride was wver so I rode this ride like 4x in a row but had to get off due my body was hurting and ichy. If you like bumpy sit in the back if you like smooth sit in the front.

It is one of the best. It offers a great first time ride and always brings you back for more but it always shows you whos boss after multiple rides. The Texas Giant was built in 1990 and isnt going anywhere soon with an awsome drop followed by a curved follow up hill. The Giant not only provides drops and turns but dips, speed, "head-choppers", "bunny-hops", air time, and great views of the park. This ride is definatly worth a wait for your first time ride. The only major downside is its roughness. Never ride in the back.

I still love the Texas Giant, but it was better when first opened. A couple years after opening they reworked the coaster in the off season and certainly didnt improve things. The ride is very long and has some awesome drops and turns. Towards the end it has some awesome little hills that give a tremendous amount of air time off the seat. It is a rough wooden coaster but one of my favorites.

This is one of the best rides ever built! Its worth the trip here just for this ride (even though its surrounded by other great rides.) Sit in the very front row for the best ride. The first drop is great, but my personal favorite is the drop right off the MCBR. Its very steep and sudden. Most woodies lose energy mid ride, but the Giant is fun the whole way through. If you want a smooth ride, sit in the very front row, on the right side. Its worth waiting a few extra minutes.

Now this is how I like my woodies!! Rough and intense. This ride is simply awesome. The turns pack a big punch and almost all of the drops are filled with air. I really love the drop off of the MCBR and the magic carpet ending. I love waiting in the station and hearing (and feeling) a train rumble by in the helix.

This is it, the master of wooden coasters. All others must bow to it. I thought it impossible to beat Mean Streak but this beauty did it. Its big, fast, and rough. Roughness is important on a wooden coaster. It gives you a better feeling of what nature is all about. Of course, if you dont like your rides to beat you up, skip it. It doesnt hurt like Psyclone but you do walk away a little weak in the knees. If you do like that, then this is your ride.

Well, I have been merciless in my criticism of Summers & Dinn for creating the most painful coasters in my riding experience. This coaster was a true surprise. With the exception of a midcourse TOTAL brake, this ride totally rocks. A Texas BIG lift hill sends riders plummeting and the wild ride begins. Even after the mid course TOTAL brake, the ride resumes a kick butt course. The last quarter with minimal hills but extremely fast track and curves is an exhilarating finish. When waiting in the queue be sure to notice the way the structure completely bends with each train pass. The beauty of wood - gorgeous structure. (NOTE to SFoT: The operating crew of this coaster needs SERIOUS adult supervision – among the WORST operators of a major coaster I have EVER witnessed on both Friday and Saturday).
