The Flying Tigers is a flat ride. It is average speed, fun, rerideable, it has a large capacity, and a long duration.

This is a great ride for children of all ages. I was 11 the first time I rode it and I got stuck in the front seat so I was like rolled up in a ball. I was watching the mechanism at the top as it whipped around the sides during the whole ride, and it isnt thrilling at all but its a relaxing ride and thats good enough for me. My brother (whose username is Alexander) loves this and screams like crazy on it.

The Flying Tigers is a small modern day whip no where nearly as good as the classic ones, but still a little fun. Located near the front of the park to the right of the main entrance, the Flying Tigers sit under a building across from the Whipper. With its name displayed above the ride in bright neon lights, there are 8 small planes with 2 rows in each. The planes are different colors and have vibrant paint jobs. Generally a walk-on, the Flying Tigers board relatively quickly. Riding up front is funner because you get a better view. Unfortunately, adults have a hard time fitting in the cars and it was pretty tight for me. Restrained by a seat-belt, the planes are suspended from the motor above. Once the ride begins, you slowly approach the turn. Before whipping around the turns the planes briefly pause and then are whipped around the corner slowly, flying out and tilting. Then it abruptly slows down and continues the ride. Flying Tigers doesnt have a very long ride cycle. Overall, a fun kiddie ride that is a unique version of a whip, but no where nearly as good as other rides at Knoebels. Skip it if your paying per ride. If you have a wristband give it a shot.

The Flying Tigers is a wonderful little ride. I took my (almost) 3 year old nephew on it and he and I had a ball. The beautiful little planes have a small seat in the front and one in the back. The quarters were a little tight for me but not too bad. He sat up front and pretended to pilot. Wed make a little wheeeee sound everytime we would go around the curve. Its a very basic layout but surprisingly fun when it whips around the corners.
