Big disappointment. Certainly not my least favorite coaster ever, but so far my worst B&M, and I think I have more complaints than praises. First off, the capacity just stinks. There’s no way this should be the longest line in the park with two train operation, but it was on my visit, and I’ve heard it is routinely. Secondly, I found the flying position to be just plain weird and uncomfortable to be in for that long. I thought the Vekoma flyers were uncomfortable, but laying down head first for five minutes waiting to get unloaded beats any uncomfortableness that the Vekoma’s can offer. The ride itself was very “meh.” Although it was smooth, comfortable, and in some places forcefull, there is really no part of this “perfected” B&M that has me craving a second ride. The drop was ligh years behind the Vekoma Flyers, as it seemed slower, less steep, and lacking that incredible “lie to fly” effect. The pretzel loop was pretty amazing, and is really the ride’s saving grace. Such great intensity through the first half, then a great “release” of intensity through the second. After the pretzel loop, the ride seemed short and slow, with no memorable elements, save a decent heartline roll. Yea, this heartline roll actually impressed me, but it didn’t impress me that it was followed by the brakes and then five minutes of staring at rider’s shoes in the row ahead of me. I guess I just don’t get flyers. The Vekomas seem to have better elements, and are faster paced, while the B&Ms are undoubtedly smoother with a better feature element. Whatever the case may be, the ride simply has no re-ride factor for me up against SFGAd’s outstanding thrill ride line up.
