I was walking though Hershey right after getting off of Comet. I had seen pictures of SDL online but had no idea of what it really looked like. I was walking past Great Bear, when it came roaring by. I had never ridden an inverted coaster before. Actaully this was my first park outside of Lake Compounce and Six Flags. Every time I went to SFNE Mind Eraser was always broken, so I hadnt ridden and Inverts yett, but that is for a different review. So I was walking up to the bulding, there was a little sign with an arrow that read Sooper Dooper-
Looper
I thought this was funny so I took a picute of it.
Anyway I got in the line and walked around the station and as I was walking by a duck and her babies were walking along the queue line. My friend made a bad joke and said "I dont think you guys are tall enough to ride" I gave him a dirty look and kept walking. At the same time a train cam roaring on to the breaks and there was a loud bang/sqweal sound from the break run. The ducks ran away after that. OK to the ride. Well I got in the front seat and noticed that the lift hill was also a turn. So you start out and go up the lift hill and take a small right turn. You go up a slow steep lift and then get to the top make a small drop, then a left turn for the drop. The drop is very smooth, but like all Schwarzkopf coasters has amazing force. Then you slowly start to go vertical and then you are upside down. Because the look isnt eliptical, it will push you down if you arnt holding on. Then its up and over the mid way though a trim break which really doesnt do anything around and down back though the loop. Then you go up and make a right turn over the Coal Cracker then in to a tunnel, its not scary, but loud. then you pop out the other side up a hill hit a trim which isnt on then don the hill a tight left turn then up a helix to the right then past the Comet on to the break run, and if your lucky great bear will fly over.

Over all its not really exciting, but for 1977 it was the El Toro of today. I give it a ten, because it is some of Schwarzkopfs better work and was my 1st Schwarzkopf ever. The layout isnt really crazy but the helix at the end makes up for the slow ride. Over all a 10 and one of my favorite rides at the park.
