Review of Hersheys Chocolate World @ Hersheypark
-1 Rating Posted by: Canobie Coaster on 8/25/2005 1:54:00 PM
Hersheys Chocolate World at Hersheypark is a nice building with a free chocolate tour ride, 3-D show, interactive child activities, food court, and gift shop. Since I havent seen Hersheys Really Big 3-D Show or done any of the interactive activities, I cant comment on them. By far the highlight of the massive building is the Great American Chocolate Tour dark ride. This free dark ride has a long queue line with videos and theming along the walls. Because of its huge capacity, the Chocolate Tour is a walk-on even when it seems crowded. Boarding the 2 car vehicles, they are constantly moving because of a revolving loading platform. Remodeled for 2006, now there are 3 cows during the ride that talk in high pitched voices. They are kid-friendly. During your long ride you go through many scenes to see how Hersheys chocolate is made. All of the scenes have moving parts and there are some smells of chocolate during the ride. At the end of the ride you have your picture taken by one of the cows as she speaks. Overall, an educational and entertaining dark ride. You get free piece of candy at the end. Also, there is a massive gift shop selling Hershey items from food, to clothing, to toys. Anyone visiting Hersheypark shouldnt miss Hersheys Chocolate World.

King Yoshi, you said that you hated Hersheys Chocolate World b/c of your hatred of chocolate (no disrespect to that b/c I hate chocolate w/a passion too), but you highly recommend Hersheys Chocolate World to everyone? It doesnt make any sense at all. If youre going to give a ride a 4, youve gotta back up your rating by saying that its not recommended for people who hate chocolate like you & me.

If you hate chocolate then why did you ride it?

I rode it because of how the rest of my family did, so I had to ride.

Remember that Spongebob episode where him and Patrick sold the chocolate? That one guy kept running around screaming "CHOCOLATE! CHOCOLATE!" *ROFL*

The episode talked about chocolate. This ride is about chocolate. The connection isnt to challenging. BTW that is one of the better episodes.

I understand the connection, but it was sort of random.

I always did think the ride was neat. I,m guessing they dont go into detals because of spies from other factories stealing the secrets. You can never be too careful in todays world of business. I love chocolate. Do they make anything you do like? Like twizzlers or gummy bears?

Are you being serious? Chocolate spies. OMG, better keep bush off the chocolate ride.

I dont care for choclet and I gave this a 10. the ride is good, info is good, educational behind your back, well presented, Some cheesy effects but they worked well. By the way has anyone seen the new Charle and the Chaoclet factory movie?
