Review of Loch Ness Monster @ Busch Gardens Williamsburg

I put an 8, but it is actually closer to a 9...this ride is a classic and I love older coasters that seem like they can barely make it up the chainlift, lol The trees, the plunge towards the Rhine River, and the tunnel all make for a good-for-your-soul kinda ride. Its not the most thrilling ride, but its a feel-good ride...thats pretty much the only way I can describe it

Do you almost black out after the first loop? I do sometimes. That is the roughest part of the ride, but most Arrows have that effect on me. I dont know why. The tunnel is kind of cheesy, it used to have a water spray at the end too. People complained because it hurt their eyes.

I have never blacked out on any ride. One of the broblems with arrow loops are that they never changed the loops. the coasters got bigger but the loops stayed the same. thats why the much larger ones like Great American Scream MAchine at SFGAdv has its loops set up above the ground.

I dont completely black out, but I get "tunnel vision" for a second. But only after the first loop. Viper, Demon and Carolina Cyclone all had that same effect. Dont get me wrong, I like the tunnel, its part of what makes it a classic. The little Nessie thing in there is wierd. It has changed many times, I just think they could do something really unique with it, but they just leave it looking cheesy.
