Review of Batman and Robin: The Chiller @ Six Flags Great Adventure

Excellent ride. The launch is amazingly intense, as are the inversions, particually the zero-G rolls. The real trick to this coaster is the backwards part of the ride, which even though you know it is happening, the inversions still sneak up on you.

I prefer the Batman side, as the inverted tophat is such an incredible and unique element.

Yup. Rode it last week for the first time in years, in fact, the first time since the installation of the lapbars. Excellent.

yea I rode Sunday, 1st time on Batman since the lap bars. I dont know if they changed the lap bars this year. I dont remember Robin locking your feet in, however after the recent S:ROS tragedy this may become more common

All of the Premier lapbars lock the feet in. It is designed to force you into the Z position so that if the ride gets stuck upside down (which Robin did last year).

Weird - I rode Robin last year, and dont remember the feet-locking thing at all. Maybe I was just so excited that I didnt notice...

Your feet are forced under that pivot point of the lapbar. Its pretty uncomfortable in the front part of the car.

sounds great unfortunately for me only one side opened and that wasnt until 4:00 and the parks poor capacity had sucked the coaster life from me.

I dont understand why they dont ALWAYS run both sides of this ride. The train only holds 20 people and it takes roughly 2 and 1/2 to 3 minutes between launches. Unless both sides are going, this translates into a VERY long line for a 30 second ride.

I can agree with that - the loading time is ridiculous - but then again, it is on just about everything at SFGadv...

like always i agree with adriahna the load time in that place is horrible. i just dont understand how and why you would not have your rides open and running this is the first park out east that i do not care if i ever make it back.
