OW OW OW! Viper is one of the most painful rides created. Heading into the loop will kill you, the double loop will double kill you, but the boomerang is smooth. Heading into the double corkscrew will triple kill you. You want proof? My 11 year old cousin Zach wore pillows over his ears so they wouldnt get banged, and on the double corkscrew, the pillows busted open. Anyway, for the good part of Viper...it is the highest complete-circuit steel lift hill roller coaster that does a loop. At 68 miles per hour, you have a lot of airtime on the first drop (for OTSR, even though its a horsecollar). The only disadvantage is that in California, in January (I went up to California 12/31/03, came back on a redeye flight on the morning of 1/5/04), your hands feel like theyre frozen to the handles. For some reason, our second ride was more painful on the corkscrew then the first ride. A LOT rougher. But when Vipers running good, the forces on the corkscrew are incredible. You are really shifting around, going from the right to the left on them. Viper is a painful but fun experience, unlike Manhattan Express at NYNY and Ninja at SFOG.
