A very fun ride, as well as very smooth. Its historical interest is another positive point. This coaster is certainly not particularly thrilling as coasters go, but was one I nevertheless enjoyed very much.
The coaster is short and the 2nd half is quite boring. There is plenty of nostalgia with this ride, however.
This is a small, but fun, classic wooden coaster. I love how the ride travels through the woods and the trains look great as well and have a classic feel. There were a few small drops even a hill that gave a nice pop of air. I loved the turnaround, twisting drop.
This is a classic! The ride is rich in history and it has a short wait. This is a great old wooden coaster. Great for the whole family.
As Larry told me the best 27 foot high coaster in the world! APPEARANCE-8 Old and weathered, but it looks really cool as you walk along the fence after navigating worlds most confusing parking lot. CAPACITY-6 It only has one train, but its only 900 foot long so it is pretty much a scratch. RIDE QUALITY-6 Solid for a junior coaster, but nothing really exceptional. I did get one nice pop of air. FUN-7 A piece of coaster history and a ride that still delivers in spite of, or because of its age. RERIDE-5 This park is pretty pricey to attend again since it is more kiddie friendly. I only attended this time because of a good package deal. Actually the apple fries would be my number 1 reason to return. OVERALL-32 AVG-6.4 I will go with the 6 since I can hardly imagine going back at $25.00 a ticket.
It has a storied history and all that jazz. The scenery is quite nice around this coaster and the ride is quite smooth, but the short track and junior orientation make for a boring overall ride.
I give this a 10 for many different reasons. This roller coaster was my first roller coaster. The coaster is good for any age! It looks small, but it is very fun.
The whole ride is really fun, and I dont care about the length. It may be quick, but it is worth it. The nice turn is really fun and the whole ride is a really good family ride. If you go to Idlewild and dont ride the Rollo Coaster because it looks to small or because it doesnt look fun, you dont know what youre missing!
I didnt expect to be overwhelmed by the Rollo Coaster but I will agree it packs some punch for such a small coaster but since the ride is so short I would have liked a complete ride and really cant find anything good to say about the second half.
it is kinda fun its pretty jerky and really short though..
A great classic PTC.It was built in 1937 and it still runs great. It still has the classic trains, manual brakes and it is a junior coaster but it packs alot of air time into it. It is a must ride for an enthusiast. Its built into the trees, has alot of hills, and is alot of fun. The Rollo Coaster is a wood O&B roller coaster. It was built in 1946 by PTC and designed by Herb Schmeck. It is 900' long, 27' tall, it is fun, rerideable, fast, it has a large capacity, and a long duration.
