The Teddy Bear is a sit down wood roller coaster. (Junior). It was built by Ralph Stricker in 1996. It is 28' tall, 700' long, it is fast, fun, rerideable, it has a large capacity, and a long duration.
Cool little kiddie coaster. I like it much better than those steel ones other parks have. For the most part it was tame, but it was smooth and enjoyable throughout and there even was a surprise pop of air.
A couple spots of almost air on a nicely maintained kiddie woodie. Nowhere close to the ride you get on Zachs Zoomer, but a nice little ride to take a lap on. No real reride value.
The best part about this ride is the cute little teddy bear on the front of the train. This ride is definitely a teddy bear, it doesnt do much and it goes very slowly. I think the Howler at Holiday World is a much better kiddie coaster, but thats not nearly as nice to look at.
Update: I rode this again today in the back seat. I still think that there are much better kiddie woodies out there, including the Beastie (Fairly Odd Coaster) at Kings Island. The first drop is pretty decent in the back seat though.
The Teddy Bear is a PTC style Jr woodie. I found this coaster fun for all ages and if you sit in the front it even has a little pop of airtime at the end.
