This ride was my favorite at Busch Gardens for many reasons. First of all, the lines move unbelievably fast. Quick lines is always a way to my heart as a coaster enthusiast, and Griffon is the best in getting you on the ride in a hurry. If I had to wait hours for this ride, it definitely wouldnt be as great, but the quick queue makes up for the quick thrill. Second of all, the view from the top of the ride is spectacular. I loved looking over Williamsburg and the river. The ride does a great job of "setting the stage" and making you sweat a little before the drop. At this point in my roller coaster riding career, there is no drop that scares me. I have to be "psyched out" to worry and get my full thrill, and Griffon does a good job of doing that. The drop isnt huge, but the ride is perfectly designed to make it feel dramatic and intense. This is one coaster I could ride over and over again, which is worth a 10 - because there arent many rides I always find myself dreaming of riding again. When I look to the sky in Williamsburg, I look for the Griffon.
