I give it an 11! THIS RIDE IS A MUST EVEN IF YOU DONT PLAN ON COMING TO VEGAS SOON!!! I cant even describe the sheer excitement that this ride possesses. The acceleration out of the first LIM is amazing, I couldnt even think. The loop is cool, and the tower is awesome. This is an overall SMOOTH and adrenaline rushing expereince. YOU HAVE GOT TO RIDE THIS!!!

Dude, thatd be awesome...speaking of lap-bar only coasters:
What are some good looping coasters with lap-bars only? I used to think it wasnt possible (before I rode coasters). Is Son Of Beast a lap-bar only?

Yes, Son Of Beast is lap-bar only. My favcorite lap-bar loopers are Six Flags Over Georgia Mindbender, Flight Of Fear at Paramount Kings Island and Dominion, and Montezumas Revenge at Knotts. Sadly, Claifornia law restricts all rides that loop must have OTSRs. Montezumas Revenge is the exception because Knotts wants the ride to remain its historical trademark. TOGO_Fan

It is a standard Schwarzkopt Flywheel driven shuttle loop. You are in the station, really fast launch, loop, spike, reverse, then up a tower on the other side of the station, and back into the station. Its very fun, I would recommend trying every single seat. You will find a sweet spot somewhere. Mine is in the 7 or 8th row someplace. TOGO_Fan

Aslo, the launch is so unexpected, its scary, just keep those hands up before the launch or else you wont be able to put them up later . TOGO_Fan

Thanks for the tips, How is the line usually? (Perilious Plunge now open, do you think it will help ease traffic in the lines.) Also, I have been reading about Windjammer, what was that like, and when did they tear it down? And do you know any rumors about what is going in its place? (Ive heard everything from a 300+ hypercoaster to the worlds first standing/inverted coaster, that seemed hard to belive someone was even thinking that, but hey, look at X and what its doing...)

Um..Windjammer closed like 2 years ago...As for the lines...run to it...thats all I have to say...once they get long, they stay long...Windjammer was fun, but I liked getting like totally beat up on it. As for the thing taking its place. Its not a hyper, its not an impulse. But Westcoaster.net is giving clues. Look in the forums. TOGO_Fan
