I had to laugh very hard at the gigantic banner that read "Mean Streak, voted among the Top 10 Wooden Coasters in the World!" Wow, what a load of crap...definitely my new least-favorite coaster. No airtime. No forces. Just awkward, rough transitions. And the ride was ridiculously long, as well. I didnt think Id ever wish a coaster was shorter, but I did in this case with Mean Streak. Honestly, do yourself a favor and skip this coaster, even if you are a coaster-count-whore

You may be right, but I know I will not whenever I get a chance to go to CP. A 160 foot wooden looks too good to pass up!

Personally, its not that bad to get a one, but it definitely doesnt get no higher than a 5 or 6 on a good day. The ride to me doesnt suck because of its roughness (trust me Ive been on even rougher coasters than that), but the facts that for a 161 foot coaster whichs supposed to go 65 m.p.h., it felt more like a 50 m.p.h. coaster because of those killer trims at the top of the hill & it produced absolutely no airtime at all.

The first season this was easily a 9 or 10 coaster. On my last visit it actually ran the best it has run in awhile, but still no better than a five. I feel lucky that I got an opening year run.

f42 and got-it, fellas, the proofs in the pudding. go check it out for yourselves. the haters have it on this one, id say. videos cant give you an idea of what a coasters forces are like, but actually being on mean streak doesnt provide one with much more in the way of forces than the video does while youre seated in a computer chair! thats the problem. the speed required to make the very interesting layout thrilling has been scrubbed off by the trims. trust us, its a dull ride.

Just because you dont look for airtime on a wood coaster doesnt mean that other people dont. I personally like the different kinds of weird airtime that wood coasters provide depending on their makes and designs. Try not to demean others based purely on their opinions.

i know but people are judging this on what seems to be 50% airtime. there are other air time coasters at the park. maybe cedar point just wasent looking at airtime this time. maybe it wanted to build something like mean streak.

And, just because a park is looking to do something with a ride doesnt mean that people are going to like it.

i know that herk but i personially like coasters that are twisters. i know what your going to say but some people air time or out and backs or something like that but do you thnk that peoples scles should be 50 percent air time and 50 percent smoothness?

I have very strong feelings about this ride. I was like a lot of you that look at Mean Streaks stats and immediately was anxious to get on it. Ive been there twice and rode it once eace time in different seats. I am a ride lover from wild mouses to hypercoasters. This is possibly the most disappointing ride ever. It doesnt have any redeaming qualities for any type of coaster lovers. No speed, no airtime, no good turns, and no excitement. The best thing this ride has is some decent head choppers, but you are going so slow, they arent that scary. I didnt really think it was that rough, but it is that boring. Honestly, I like the mine train ride and the disaster transport better. If you havent been on it, you just cant understand how bad it is. Get on in, then try to say its good at all. I challenge you.
