Let me start by first saying what a fan I am of Knoebels haunted house. It is a fine example of an older dark ride that has been lovingly kept up. But, I have to say that this haunted house located on the boardwalk in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware is just as good if not a bit better. I know Ive given them both 10s but might consider moving the aforementioned Knoebels attraction to a 9. I try and ride this haunted house at least once a year and just came back from a day trip to the beach. I wanted to review it fresh from a ride. I always forget how well done it is. I love the relatively rare suspended track cars. Another great feature is that the cars go outside the attraction twice-once over the teacups and once over the boardwalk and ocean. There are some really good gags in here and the living room scene has so many things going on, that it requires more than one ride-through. Another reason for the high marks is that the ride takes you through several different themed areas not typical of your run-of-the-mill haunted house. Yet another plus is the low cost of the tickets. Funland is a big-hearted park packed into a small space and I highly recommend a visit to this great dark ride if youre in the Delaware Beach resort area.
