Wicked Twister is a steel LIM shuttle/impulse type. It was built in 2002. It was built by Intamin. It is 215' tall, it is fast(72 mph), fun, rerideable, it has a large capacity, and a long duration. It has a nice color scheme also.

I dunno .. I have yet to ride it but I was suspecting to see a few reviews like this start coming in. I tried the animatic on the CP website and began to imagine the ride. Its little more than a launch variation of a BOOMERANG or FACE/OFF (PKI) with the trains going straight up rather than angled and into a couple inversions.

Kind of a demon drop/BOOMERANG meld with a launch. A good addition to a normal amusement park, but for CP its not near their usual top of the mountain. Would be kind of like Universals IOA adding a run-of-the-mill wild mouse coaster ... a ride that would get a nice bit of attention in small amusement park, but surrounded by several GODS of amusement rides/attractions it comes off as jsut a wannabe.

No worries... Ill wait for final judgement until I get a chance this summer to ride it for real. But I wouldnt be surprised if we see more reviews like this. And yes, Ill eat my leather boot quite happily if I discover the ride is the next killer thing. ;-)

i agree rentzy! first off it spirals twice...it is the best impulse out there so that means it should be at Cedar Point..and plus its a nice addition I mean jus two years ago was Millenium Force and aleady a new ride and a bigger one 4 next year...so I think it is a good ride and looks great at Cedar Point...and newayz they jus wanted to make SUE look dumb and they did because this ride is more fun then SUE!
