HHN Going to IOA?
Submitted By: ThmPrkCrtc on 4/26/2002 11:41:00 AM
Halloween Horror Nights has been a staple of Universal Florida for many years, now talk is it might be taken over to Islands of Adventure?

Not everyone thinks the change would be a good idea. Peter Stapp, a former Universal executive and now an attractions consultant in Orlando, said, "You know the old saying, If it aint broke, dont fix it. I wouldnt tinker with something so successful."

The success Halloween Horror Nights has already had makes it a major potential growth vehicle, Lomax said. "Its our signature event -- the biggest thing we do all year."

Hrmmm, not sure about this idea one bit.

I think this would be a very poor decision. IOA is not built for HHN! The paths are too narrow, there are few places for a good haunted house, there would be no parade, and the haunted alleys would be too crowded! Keep it at USF...

I feel the same way... now i'm hearing that it'll be like a half baked version, only two lands decorated.. whats the point.. just doesn't sound like a good idea.

BAD SIDE

What the hell? i dont think it is a good idea. i agree that the streets r narrow n what r they gonna do in the seuss landing are

Good Side

In the ride lines, most of them are dark and they have much potential for a maze, (Deuling Dragons, Dr. Dooms Fearfall) and the JP area you can hind in the bushes and scare the piss outta lot of people. Im confused. i want to keep it there but i have no say but i think they should have it at both USF and IOA and that way the lines to the mazes wont be 2 1/2 hours long. I feel that IOA has enough publicity and USF is gonna suffer and feel the bite. Now the phrase "dude Universal is gay" is gonna happen again.

My Words

Most of my friends hate universal. They love IOA. they dont even give it a chance.. they say that you can go there 2 years ago and nothing would have changed. They are so worn down. (u know what i mean, dont yell at me sayin MIB is ther now.. i know.)but they only reason my friends went to USF was 4 HHN. now they absoutly have no reason at all. i dont think its a good idea. i agree, where is the parade gonna go.. mayb they would just not do the parade and have a show in the lagoon like USF did for hhn years n years ago.
