Cool Stuff

Busch Gardens is always doing really cool stuff, as do most theme parks, but I thought this was a very neat idea.

The Busch Gardens and Sea World theme parks will admit firefighters, police, emergency workers and their families free for the rest of the year, August Busch III, head of the beer empire that owns the parks, said Monday.

The offer -- which includes the Busch Gardens park in Williamsburg -- is a reward for the sacrifice by those who made the first responses to the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks, Busch said in a news conference with Gov. Jim Gilmore outside the Executive Mansion.

If the parks allowed police officers, firefighters and emergency workers free admission all the time it would add to the security and safety of the parks.
