China After Disney Park

Thought that this was interesting given the current political structure of China. Guess everyone loves the mouse.

Chinese officials are trying to attract interest from Walt Disney Co in Beijings plan to build a theme park in the capital city ahead of the 2008 Olympic Games, a government official said on Saturday....

...Disney is one of the several foreign companies being courted by Beijings city government, which would host the forum aimed at finding an operator for the park, he said.

I see why you found this strange. I do too. The Communist Dictatorship of China is not exactly an approved American government , but I do think with all of the people it will do very good.

As much as I detest the Chinese government. I think it would be a positive thing to let the Chinese people get a taste of the American lifestyle. I don't see the Communist Chinese would allow such a pillar of American capatalism to gain a foothold in ther country.
