Hey i'm going to Six Flags Over Georgia on April 17th. (a Saturday).

-Will it be crowded?
-How long do the lines get?
-What should I head to first?
-Should I get a fastpass?
-Can I reserve it a day before?

If you can answer any of these questions, please post them for me. Thank you.

-It MIGHT be slightly crowded but defently not jam packed.
-The lines should not exceed 30-60 minuites.
-IMO Mindbender is the most fun but S:UF is best to go to first as if theres long lines for any rides, this will be one of them.
-I don't think you will need a fast pass but I have only benn twice so you might want to know from a local.
-Can't help you on the last one.

The Sat after Easter tends to be lighter than other spring saturdays (its when I usually make my 1st trip of the year, that long, arduous journey of mine). PKI underestimated the lines somewhat, as the GAScorcher can be 1.5 hours and S:UF often tops 2 hours (even on a spring weekend). Go to the back of the park first, because you can usually knock off S:UF, the Ninja, Deja Vu and the GASM is one hour if you play your cards right (Another route is hitting the Scorcher, then heading back to the Mindbender and B:TR), but, if you get a Q-bot (a little different than a fast pass), it doesnt matter as much- with the QBot, you pick your own order. They cost $10 to rent, plus $10/person (up to 6 people). You cannot reserve a Q-bot and the often run out of them by noon, so judge the parking lot and if it looks 1/2 full, I would suggest investing the money- the rental shop is located to the right after entering the park, just before the GA Cyclone.

Ninja is usually pretty short too... well, shorter than all of the other coasters.

I would also like to know:
1)how long do the lines get for Acro.?
2)Does Vu break down as much as the others? I heard SFoG's is alot more reliable
3) is vu overly rough, or is it fun?
4)What is the best place to ride Superman & Georgia Scorcher?

3) - DejaVu is my favorite boomerang, very fun
4)S:UF - I think the pretzel loop and the roll at the end of the ride are both best in the back of the train
Scorcher - Generally I prefer the back, but I prefer the front on stand-ups and this one is no exception.

What's the deal with the Q-bot?

A Q-bot is a small computer that can easily fit in your pocket. When you rent one (details above), you go around to the park's major rides and reserve a ride time. These rides include all of the coasters except Dahlonga, I think, as well as Acro, Monster Plantation, Splashwater Falls, Dodge City Bumper Cars, and I think that's it. The device lines up with an infrared transmitter in front of the ride entrance (see pic below), and the devices send signals to each other and when a time is selected, the Q-bot vibrates and displays the time that has been reserved for you. You can then walk around, and as I do, reserve all of the other rides you want to go on, and in order. When there is 10 mins (I think) left before your time, the Q-bot buzzes and you head to your ride. The time you have to wait is supposed to be similar to that of someone entering the line at the time you reserved the ride. When you get to your ride, you have to "log-in" so to say, and you go through the exit or a special entrance like most FastPass systems. And you're off on your way, optimizing your time in the park. While between rides on coasters, you can eat, rides flat rides, rest, shop- whatever. On busy days, especially if you want to explore the entire park, it is well worth it. You will only have to wait in shorter lines, and you will generally be able to ride all of the coasters in 3-4 hours, meaning you can get 2 rides on all of the coasters in one day- as opposed to "maybe" one on each. I also read somewhere that another SF park has Q-bots, so they are going to spread (SFOG was the company's demo park)*. I think that will answer any questions

*just checked the company's site, and it says that SFOG has been joined by SFOT, SFGAdv, SFNE, SFSTL, as well as SFWoA (which, with the sell to Cedar Fair, may not get the system now)

It's not that complicated, it just sounds complicated. It it really very similar to Disney's system.

I never rented a Q-Bot...the line to get one is as long of a wait as the lines for all the rides put together.(my experience at WoA when SF owned it).

Well, since it only occupies 20 or so guests, the line is deceptively short, but the wait can reach an hour or so (loading seems to be slower for Acro than for any other tower ride I have ever seen)

I'm guessing that you are being sarcastic, since the Denver area has a population of over a million. I have a cousin from Denver, and I wanted to go visit her (an excuse to hit Elitch), but she told me that Elitch is pretty weak.

Is that the same renowned Mr. Twister, or is it a sequel coaster?

The park was fairly busy today- they had a band competition, so there were a lot of screaming teens. I hope he got through the park. There were also a lot of minor mishaps throughout the day- the most downtime Ive sen @ SFOG in a while.

ME? I don't review the park that I visit 20 times a year.
Deja Vu is closed until summer, the hill that Riverview Carousel is on is a bit of a mess due to construction, Freefall was closed (and it isn't even listed in the Map/Guide anymore) but other than that, all's good.
