Goin for my first time to Las Vegas this April and im lookin forward to ridin the coasters (pretty much why im goin). However ive read reviews of different coasters there and ratings are all over the place. Most are like what between $5-$10 a ride? Which coasters should i definately do and which would be ok to skip? Also is Desperado worth the drive? Are there any lines for these coasters? Any other tips would be great.

Go to the motel that hase the coaster and ask for one of their player coopon books. it may or may not have ether a free ride on the ride of a descount ticket. at least you could get a free spin in the slots.

When going to Vegas, I think that Speed is a must ride. The heartline twist and dive alone makes the Manhattan Express a must ride as well. It may be a little rough, but I loved that part. Even though it isn't a coaster, the Big Shot is another must ride. I liked the Canyon Blaster, but my boyfriend wasn't very impressed with it. You can skip the High Roller.

Unfortunately Desparado didn't impress me much. I found it to be too rough. I felt too much vibration and had trouble enjoying my ride. Since my trip I've heard that it gives a better ride if you're not in a car where the wheels are. I don't know if its true or not. I wouldn't spend the extra cash to rent a car next time to go there unless they add some new attraction. I can't tell you that you should skip it, because I've heard a lot of people that like it.

I hope you enjoy your trip.

the trips comin up!!! any way, j/w, can anyone reccommend anything other than the rides. other attractions at Vegas? are things like the sigfreid and roy habitat area (not the show) and the atlantis sim at ceasar's worth the money? how close are the hotels? im at the luxor a couple nights and i believe the NY NY is near it. this could mean numerous rides on the manhattan express. Im still undecided on weather to take a cab to desperado. its fast, i hear around 90mph but i saw a video of it and it does look really rough.

i never got the chance to go on Desperado, couldn't ge out there though i wnated to! i think u should probably pack tons of cash for the trip, 'cause nothin' in Vegas is cheap, including the rides! most of 'em cost between $10 and $20. but at Circus Circus, if i can remember correctly (i didn't get to go here on my last trip to Vegas, but i did when i went Aug 2001), i think the price for the whole park is like $18 to $19. but the definite must rides are Manhattan Express, Speed, High roller, Big Shot, and of course visit Circus Circus. ( think thats the summary for the rides in vEgas anyways. When u go to Stratosphere though make sure u go at night and u go on High roller first, trust me here the wait for Big Shot is worth it and u might fall asleep on High roller if u do BS first! other than that work u'r way down from NY, NY to the north end of the strip! where u stayin' anyways?
