Hi everybody,

So in October, I will be taking a vacation to Orlando and have two days open for theme park visits. I was wondering what you guys thought would be the ideal parks to visit. I'.ve already been to MGM Studios and Epcot so those are out and don'.t really want to go to Universal Studios. So that leaves me choosing from Sea World, Islands of Adventure, Magic Kingdom, and Animal Kingdom. I have two days for theme parks and I will be the only intense roller coaster fan in our party, so a park with a couple of big coasters as well as lots of non coaster stuff to do is what we'.re looking for.

Also, I live in San Diego and have plenty of experience with Sea World San Diego and Disneyland...so I don'.t know if that would take away from the enjoyment of their Orlando counterparts.

Thanks so much!

I would definitely make Islands of Adventure my #1 destination in Orlando for the sole purpose of Incredible Hulk & Dueling Dragons: Fire & Ice. Since you'.re the only coaster lover, I'.m sure a B&M launch twister & dueling inverts will satisfy your coaster craving. However, there are non-coaster rides like Dr. Doom'.s Fearfall, the 150 foot drop tower, Adventures of Spiderman, one of the best 3D ride experiences in the world, Dudley Do-Right Falls, Jurassic Park River Adventure, & many more. The theming is unreal. Also, I would like to throw in Sea World Orlando just because of Kraken & Journey to Atlantis. I did not go there when I went to Florida 3 years ago, but my little sister went there with her band last year & she had a lot of fun at that park. Since you'.re familiar with SeaWorld San Diego, I guess you do not need an explanation for what you will experience there.

Definitely don'.t miss Islands of Adventure. I just got back from there a week ago and was blown away by how great it was. Dueling Dragons (Fire & Ice) and the Hulk are 3 well above-average coasters that will certainly cater to you. Along with those 3, Spiderman is a world-class experience and the 3 water rides (Ripsaw Falls, Jurassic Park, and Bilge-Rat Barges) can'.t be missed (just be prepared to be soaked!). Seuss Land is good for the less-daring.

I would suggest Sea World if the rest of your party enjoys aquatic animals since I'.ve heard Kraken and Journey to Atlantis are great, but if not I'.d go to Animal Kingdom since you'.ve been to Disneyland and Magic Kingdom has pretty much everything Disneyland has, and then a little less. Animal Kingdom has some unique rides like the awesome Everest, river rapids, Dinosaur, Killimanjaro Safaris, and the spinning coaster.
