Not sure if it was posted anywhere...as I haven't seen it (probably missed it)....Disneyland has added "rock" soundtracks to Space Mountain and California Screamin until Spring Break. Space Mountain is synched with Higher Ground and Screamin is synched with Around The World, both done by the Red Hot Chilli Peppers. Space Mountain's "rockin" theme is a bit more elaborate, but I like the song choice more with Screamin. Has anyone gotten a chance to ride them? Like to hear your input....I think it's a great idea.

I heard its not as terrible as that video looks, but its still not that great at all. CS doesn't seem like it would be too bad as it only got the new soundtrack for the most part.

looks horrible. Screamin has already had spotty service for years - this soundtrack will completely blow the sound system as it is on extremely loud. The fact that Screamin' was even involved is simply an outgrowth of the original Rockit Mountain concept that WDI installed on Space Mountain during it's long rebuilding in 2003-05. The folks in Marketing took that idea and turned into a way to shill their annual 2Fer1 tickets and insisted that WDI do something to California Screamin' as well. They shouldn't have bothered. Both are disappointing - mostly because the music just doesn't synch at all with the rides - but the DCA coaster suffers the most. Disneyland always fails when it tries to be hip, and it succeeds when it remains true to what it is. The Red Hot Chili Peppers are simply not the answer here.

What a terribly cheap looking redo!!

A few notes.

#1 - I agree they could have done a better job synching the audio. It's not bad but there are a few "bad cuts".

#2 - Screamin's audio is loud, but it will not blow the sound system. It's not any louder than Space Mountain's audio. WDI redesigned the audio system used that controls the sycnching. Screamin no longer suffers the same scratchy, low volume audio it once had. It's running on a brand new audio system that will be used when they go back to the original musical score, it's not just a temporary fix for the "Rockin" version.

#3 - The Rockin alterations are temporary and will last until spring break (may last longer if it's well recieved). It's a good method of getting people into the parks during slow times. At this point in the year, NO one is in the parks. They offered this to people who live close by that might want to check out some of the main e-tickets with a slight twists. Space Mountain is more elaborate, but Screamin is also worth the trip too...if not to hear what Screamin's audio was SUPPOSED to sound like all these years...
