Surfing the net a little today, and came about some cool construction pics of the Timber Tower. (If someone else has posted this somewhere else, I am sorry, but I didn't have time to do any research on this before I posted it)

Enjoy, there are 3 pages on here, the link is in red on the right side of the page.

Screamscape also has images, and more concept artwork:

In the aerial rendering you can see how the new area will be layed out in relation to Thunderhead.

Not bad things seem to be coming along well. You can get every thing Screamscape has if you look at the lings above the updates.

Ive seen the concept art before, but not for Dollywood. When I first saw it I thought, now thats a ride that would be interesting to see atop the Stratosphere

This looks like a nice coaster. I haven't been to Dollywood in awhile I'll have to go back there and hit the new coasters they have added. I love wooden coasters and this one looks like it would be very fun.

Did you even look at the photos? This is not a coaster, it is a Huss Topple Tower.

(you even posted it this board a few times...)

(one that you STARTED about Timber Tower a few months ago)

And there are a lot more that I missed.

Jeez is it too hard to just search for "Timber Tower" on TPC? Just hunt down one of BobFunland's post that has "Google Search TPC BEFORE you create that new thread" as his signature (example: Six Flags Park That'll Never Be Sold).

D3ath Cab,

I realize that you meant well with this, but those topics really were kind of different. A couple were separate news topics and one was a rumor about the ride. This topic that we are writting in is just an update for the ride after the construction started. Sure, it could have been posted in the news story one, but not really that big of a deal here.

And by the way, look at the date that he posted it. This was a very very dead thread until coasterwom brought it back to life, so don't stress about it. Besides, we haven't seen coasterSS (AKA coasterdad) around in a while.

We were at DW over Easter break and Timber Tower isn't as thrilling as it looks. It definately fits in the family ride category. The theming of the ride (and the surrounding area) is excellent and the area beyond Timber Canyon is already being prepped for next years new coaster.

They're getting a new coaster next year?

Earlier in the year, our school's West Side Singers got a trip to Dollywood (and the band doesn't even get a trip!). I haven't heard much from them but one of them said that the Dizzy Disk was really lame. I'm going to have to IM the other person I know in WSS...
