Does anyone know an exact date for this? I went to Disney's site and now they are saying July. I thought this was supposed to be open already for the 50th birthday. Anyone got a date?

If this happens to the one down here in Florida, I'll be very upset. How it is just fine, it's a childhood favorite. The last thing I want it to become is some headbanging and unmemorable charlmess lim launcher that's over in 30 seconds.

If they close the one in florida,it would kind of hurt the magic kingdom a little bit.The lines for the other mountains and there other thrill rides will be extra long.I think they shouldnt mess with floridas version.

You obviously don't quite know what they're doing to space mountain in california. How could it be a headbanger if it doesn't use otsr's? The loop thing was just a rumor. I don't believe it's going to have a launch section on it either.

BTW, the opening date is july 15th.

I hear people talking about the "Good Old Days" and how they miss them. Well, "The Good Old Days" were never really considered the good old days until they were gone. So, it makes me wonder... is it the good old days now?

Then I heard wrongly, however "Rocket Mountain" has my suspicious. Even so, I love my Space Mountain here in Orlando just how it is.

Yeah, SM rules. The Florida version isn't at all rough, so hopefully they won't touch it. The rumor of Van Halen music playing at night sounds very un-Disney, but I think it's going to happen at Disneyland.

Why was Space Mountain even closed? Were the like changing it or was it broken down and they had to fix something, or what?

They bought new train. then added a sound system. all that put too much wait on the track and started worping the track. so they had to replace it.
