What do you think makes a good log flume that would stand out from the others?

Scenery and a huge drop. Throw in a couple fake drops in the ride too.

A really, really big drop and a couple pretty decent ones. A storyline with good theming. Did I mention a big drop.

Good, wet drops, and the location.

I am not into getting wet, but a few good drops are nice. Also, I like some rapids in it, ones that jostle the log a bit. Good theming helps too.

Steep big drops, a tunnel, it has to be long too. Basicly Zoom Phloom at Morey's Piers!

Good choice, that is an excellent ride, particually how it works around the surrounding rides.

A good long flume must have at least two drops, one of them over 40 feet, and lots of great theming. Splash Mountain and Ripsaw Falls are two excellent examples of how this type of ride should be done.

I like a log flume that is hidden, and can't be seen from the station, such as the Bamboo Shoot @ SFAW. But the best log flume drop I've ever been on was Bugs' White Water Rapids (or some name like that) @ SFFT.

I'll second that. Most log flumes just spatter you with drops of water. Most of the water goes out to the sides. To get truly soaked you need to go on one of those giant boat flumes like White Water Landing @ Dorney Park.

I got really wet on Dorney's log flume. That's probably the best one I've been on.

Then why wasn't it for me?! The part that got me the wet is that damn waterfall the turns off when you go under it, it leaked like crazy when it turned off and thats where I mainly got wet!

I like Knoebel's Log Flume, you get pretty wet and the surrounding trees and tunnel make it a good shady ride. They made the flume cutting down minimal trees.

Also, don't rock the log!!! That's what a couple of friends and I did. They will yell at you and could ban you from the ride!

It was fun though. Going through the turns and stuff, it just makes the ride more exciting. But I guess it might damage the logs.

You get pretty wet on Dudley Do Rights. That's my favorite log flume. I rocked the boat on Stanley Falls Flume at BGT and the lady just turned up the volume on the recording.

Don't ever spit into the flume while standing over head in the queue. My cousin did once, then some fat ride op came over and said, "'chou cain't ride cuz 'chou wus shpittin'!"
